Any word on the the spring game? The last I saw was over a week ago in an article that said it would likely be at the Joan. Haven’t heard anything since.

I thought we were getting new Turf and the game would be held somewhere else.

That's what I last saw. If I had to guess, I would bet the game is in the IPF. Seems too late to say it's gonna be at Laidley or at the Greenbrier.

You are probably right. Will there be any incoming players "of note" that won't be at the spring game?

“Despite the game being held at the indoor, the stadium will also be open and will host concessions, music, games, inflatables and other activities on the field. Food trucks will be available to fans in the stadium's East Lot.

For those not in the indoor, the game itself may also be viewed on the stadium's video boards and will be made available to suite holders and their guests. It will not be streamed online.”

That's the most common sense way to do it. Not sure why we were thinking of places all over the state when the IPF is right there

I'm fine with it. The real QB battle will be in the fall..

You know what.. I really wish Marshall would drop the "The Herd" going across the "M". The green "M" is strong enough on it's own identity wise.

Reminds me of when the Kmart logo was redesigned to just a red "K", but Kmart corporate insisted on adding the "mart" in script and inserting it into the "K". The red "K" was great on it's own.

I wish there was a full alphabet of thunder font

Do the end zones in black, kelly green Marshall outlined in white.

It's not unique, Michigan and Mississippi State also have the "M" with the banner across it.

Maybe just outline "MARSHALL" in black like the "M" is. I think that would look cool without being overbearing. I'm also a fan of the 75 yard lines to represent the 75.

The one thing that bugs me about Marshall's logo is why the black bar is so wide. It would look much better being the same length as the entire logo.

For some things, sure. But I was referring to the two choices he offered. The banner looks better on the open field but would clutter the helmet. The plain M is too dull to be the centerpiece of the field, imo. That's why there are multiple accepted logos. They each look good situationally.
