Walker carried a football and evaded tacklers really well.

More recently, AOC was a bartender in Queens, while Herschel was for a decade or more, President/founder of a meat packing company, served on the board of a hotel corporation and was a Presidential appointee.

You're right that their qualifications aren't remotely similar.

I also find it odd that after graduation, she moved back home to 'help take care of the family' by being a bartender, as opposed to by using this 'laudable' degree that she earned. I mean seriously... she's in the best place in the world to use that degree, but the best job she can find to help her family is to bartend?

No offense to bartenders... but you can't seriously applaud her wonderful education and then note that when she apparently needed it the most, she couldn't find a way to capitalize on *** laude degrees in international relations and economics in perhaps the world's most international/economic city and instead takes a job that mostly takes advantage of her tits.

Yeah, and George Foreman invented a grill. 03-lmfao

Wow..

aOc Is So MuCh BeTtEr ThAn MeAtHeAd WaLkEr.

*Poster shows that Walker, who by Tom's ommission, only carried a football has accomplished a great deal vs the BC Graduate with a dual degree who was working as a bartender**

Rebuttal from Tom- George Foremen..

Foremen doesn't have a thing to do with this. More deflection from the most "honest" poster here who claims to criticize Dems, but only seems to double down on his and their own stupidity.

Hey skippy, have you even bothered to look into this vast business experience of Walker? If you can get through all the lies that is.

You'll find that my Foreman comment is quite relevant.

So you are saying George Foreman was far more accomplished than AOC? I agree.

Dude, I love Barry Sanders. But there's not a snowball's chance in hell that I would ever vote for him to be my Senator, just because he's Barry Sanders and not the Status Quo. 01-wingedeagle

Dude, you're fine with the status quo and wouldn't vote for him anyway. 01-wingedeagle

Democrats almost always end up showing their hate for Conservative black people.

As the old saying goes, you're either part of the solution, or you're part of the problem. It's easy to see which you're a part of LeftwingTom.

Who has criticized him for his race? Race has nothing to do with being an idiot, this country is full of people of all races who lack the intelligence to have any business serving in the US Senate.

Senator Tim Scott of SC is a black conservative who I wouldn't vote for due to his politics, but he certainly isn't an idiot. The problem in Georgia is that you've nominated an idiot for Senate, although one who also happens to be a beloved football star. That certainly gives him a better chance than a non-celebrity idiot would have, but Georgia isn't Alabama and come January the GOP is likely to still only have 1 idiot Senator who got there solely by party label and football success (Senator Tuberville of Alabama).

This.

And yeah, when has anyone here said anything about Walker's race...or even his "conservatism" ...as a reason why they would not vote for him? Not to mention, I don't know of any of us who live in Georgia!

The democrat party is NOT the party that supports minorities. They are the party that supports democrats. They will use minorities as pawns to get elected but they are not interested in improving their lives or actual equality. Or even being decent to them if they are not democrats.

If a black republican comes on the scene that threatens them, they will go all out to call them every name in the book.

Let us not forget how disgustingly they went after Clarence Thomas – and all of our other black conservative friends.

Their latest target is the republican candidate for the Georgia Senate race. After winning his primary easily with the help of a Trump endorsement, Herschel Walker is enemy number one in the south.

On MSNBC, the day before the primary election in Georgia, radical and leftist Elie Mystal, black correspondent on The Nation, called Walker “so clearly unintelligent” and also called him the republicans’ “negro.”

He said Walker was “what republicans want from their negroes” while speaking with MSNBC host Tiffany Cross.

He said that Walker doesn’t have independent thoughts and will do what he’s told.

Walker responded to the racist rant by saying, “My response to MSNBC and the man who called me the N word. @ReverendWarnock and the left wing crazies believe America is a fundamentally bad country full of racist people. But you and I know this is a great country, full of good people.” He also said, “Shame on MSNBC and shame on him. I’m gonna pray for both of them because they need Jesus.”

The democrats are not just going after blacks either. They are going after conservative Hispanics as well like Rep. Mayra Flores of Texas who says she has been the target of racist slurs because she is a Hispanic republican and not a democrat.

The democrat party of the KKK and segregation hasn’t changed much over the years. They just package their hate and racism better now.

There are very few people that I would not vote for against Raphael Warnock, and Herschel Walker is not one of them.

Same here, and it isn't a difficult decision to make between the two of them either.

Walker was bullied terribly as a child because he was a fat kid with a speech impediment. He worked hard to eliminate that and is the reason he talks in such a measured tone. He then concentrated on being one of the biggest and baddest athletes ever to be seen out of any HS. He is an example of how a person can overcome their disadvantages and become great.

He does however have a credibility issue that bothers me. He has repeatedly over the years claimed he was Valedictorian of his HS class and was in the top of his graduation class at UGA. Both claims are blatantly untrue. Im not a fan of liars. Im glad I don't have to vote in GA. It really would be a problem for me.

Not as big a problem for me as Warnock.

I view a Senate or HOR election like a proxy vote. I am hiring someone to vote in my absence. The only relevant question is whether he/she will vote the way I want him/her to vote. I would put Walker's reliability in that regard about 99% higher than Warnock's, which makes the decision easy.

Im sure Id come the same conclusion you have. Just bothers me that he did this and though no one would ever think to check on it. It really wasn't necessary to inflate his record anyway.

The dude has zero political chops. And maybe that's appealing to some, but it's most likely the reason why he seems to just be following the trump playbook for the most part by just saying anything that sounds appealing to his base.

If it's not his schooling, it's his business, or his "law enforcement" background, and on and on.

Am I to understand that Owl 69/70/75 posts regarding Herschel Walker (who makes many intellectual lightweights from both major parties look like Albert Enstein): "The only relevant question is whether he/she will vote the way I want him/her to vote."

So, I guess then it would be OK for a liberal to do likewise: "The only relevant question is whether [fill in the blank with any one of many clueless Democratic Party boobs in the House and Senate] will vote the way I want him/her to vote.

What's next from those on this board who vote either Dem and Republican: "We'll, I realize (fill in the blank running for the House or the Senate) is a child molester, but he will vote the way I want him too. So I'll vote for him."

There's a big difference is not being a genius and being corrupt. You don't seem to see that. But, maybe you think Pelosi, Schiff, Swalwell, and the like are not corrupt?

"Not being a genius AND being corrupt." Those words would make for a nice T-shirt with a visual of Don Trump's head, complete with his absurd "Rev." Al Sharpton-esque hairstyle.

And, yes, I feel Pelosi, Schiff and Swalwell are corrupt.

If Trump were so dumb and corrupt, one would think that after 7 years of the Washington establisment, department of justice, and mainstream media going after him with guns blazing, he'd be in prison (or worse) by now. Weird.

Brandon had a lot of "political chops" before his 2020 election. If that's what "political chops" gets us, then put me down for a hard pass.

As far as "saying anything that sounds appealing to his base" goes, you do realize that all politicians do that, right? The difference is between the ones that actually follow up on their statements after getting elected and the ones that do just the opposite. For example - remember how Brandon proclaimed that he was going to unite us and bring the country together? That's got to be hard to accomplish when you call the ones that didn't vote for you Fascists, Domestic Terrorists, etc. There are dozens of other easy examples I could give you, but you really don't care.

You and I are likely as dissimilar as can be (for example, I listen to the music of Sigur Ros and I juggle — and I presume you do neither) ... but I agree that Uncle Joe has not been a unifying president. Fair point.

That's what bothers me about Republican candidates. Why do they think what they said, i.e. lies, won't come back and bite them in the S. They of all people should be aware that everything that they say will be scrutinized by the opposition. These Repubs think that people will give them a pass like they do Demon(crat) candidates, i.e. liars. Look at THE SOB, how many lies has he spewed ever since he entered the poltical world and how many times have his voters taken that into account in their voting? Very few, I would bet. In their minds everything the Demons do is okay with them but God forbid the Repubs every lie or stretch the truth. We know the Demon voters are hypocrites but it sure won't help get votes for Repubs.
