He did? All I saw was that he would "weigh all his options," which to me doesn't mean much of anything.
Maybe I’m remembering someone else saying that… I thought he tweeted it, but I can’t find it.
Yep, I had it wrong. It was Minott.
Even that was misleading. He said he didn't plan to need his eligibility. In the story everyone references, he never said he wasn't coming back.
But the headline was sensationalized to make it look like a return to Memphis was definitely out.
To me it sounds like he specifically told ESPN he wasn't coming back...
Quote:Memphis freshman Josh Minott is entering the 2022 NBA draft and will initially maintain his college eligibility, he told ESPN on Thursday. He said he has no plans to return to the Tigers.

Ok, wait a minute - are you talking about Minott or Lester? I thought all the talk was about Lester until you brought in Minott's departure. Looking at post #153, I think all the discussions to that time were about Lester. I think someone took a detour to the Minott info here somewhere....

Read all the posts you quoted in this post thread. He got confused and realized it - thought it was LQ and rediscovered it was Josh (post #155). Recent posts are Josh.

Yep, you can do that now.
I've said for weeks.
I'll be surprised if LQ or Deandre actually "transfer" this year.
Memphis or pros.
Very possible that Minott is the same - although he's MUCH more likely to stay with the pro route.

Yep.. The NCAA changed that rule a couple years ago.. You can now sign with an agent and still retain your college eligibility.. He will comeback to Memphis.

Without Duren....Minott can be an absolute stud here @ Memphis next year and become a first rounder for sure and possibly lottery selection.....

Quote:Three years ago, the NCAA revised its rules and began implementing a certification process for agents to represent Division I men's basketball players while they weigh their prospects of trying to compete in the NBA. Under the change, if student-athletes use an NCAA-certified agent while gathering information on whether to enter the NBA draft, they retain their college eligibility if they choose to return to school.
