It won’t be that full again for a football game unless they add seats. Pretty sure fans are not allowed to sit on the field during a game. IDK.

Hopefully everyone had a great time and came away with positive vibe for the Home of the Blazers. That's a lot of potential ticket buyers.

The concessions were still an absolute mess. Everything else was solid in my book. It’s a great place for a concert.

It's the payment system. Card only and it has taken a good minute to process the transaction each time i've used it. That's after spending another minute watching them try and ring it up like they were filling out an excel spreadsheet or something. Basically every purchase takes a minimum of two minutes from the time they get their turn at the counter until they can get their items and walk away, and its probably closer to three minutes on average. I didnt get any concessions at the WVU game so im not sure if the BJCC arena switched to the same system or not.

Some of the staff are, to be kind, pretty slow too. I know in the bar area, the line I was in was averaging about 4 minutes per transaction. That’s pretty terrible for what are simple drinks.

I do, because as others have noted, it’s the payment system and the employees. I think having lines for water only and maybe some vendors walking around could alleviate some of the issues. The concourse with 40,000+ people in the stadium is really, really crowded though, and lines are blocking movement anywhere else.

I don’t have the answers for sure, but I told everybody I went with I expected them to be an absolute nightmare. They were about what I expected. I also know the people who were standing on the field were having a horrible time getting into the building for whatever reason. Their line was halfway down the stadium when I walked by. I expected hiccups, I went expecting to watch a concert and maybe buy a couple of waters, and that’s what I did. I’m sure others were displeased with a lot of things that I just assumed would be going on.

After a full season at Protective, what UAB fans just expect to happen with concessions looks like a cluster to anyone else. I don't know what the solution is, other than to upgrade the internet speed and get point of sale software that moves faster than a racing turtle. You'd think that the various businesses selling there would take care of the slow employee problems on their own.
