Looks like another tough non-conference schedule

Sounds like it could be interesting next season. I only hope the BU coaches are as aggressive in recruiting as they are in scheduling.

The good thing about being in a one team tournamet league is that there is only one way to make the NCAA, so you might as well play the best non cons you can get. Be nice to get one of the big boys into Freedom Hall

I am surprised (but happy) - Juston Betz is coming back for one more year! I'm hoping this means there will be one or two more additions to the team and he comes back believing they will compete at the top of the conference again.

Yes, indeed -- that made for some happy news today. Like the others, have my fingers crossed for a couple of impact transfers.

A little interesting that Scotty, in a social media post thanking Betz for his work and coming back next season, also thanks Penn and expresses a strong hope that Penn returns to BU. I suppose there's a chance, no matter how slight!

From my sources, I’ve heard that Penn is currently entertaining offers from Missouri, Wichita State and Loyola, among others. None of those schools have a reputation of consistently making the Big Dance in March. He wants to play for a team that has a legitimate chance of playing in the tournament.

His decision to return to BU is dependent on NCAA decision this month to waive the 4-yr transition rule. If BU is allowed to play in the tournament next year, he would likely return.

Can't blame Penn for that, but fingers crossed that the Knights will be eligible next season.

If I recall reading that Penn had at least some interest from Purdue, Georgia Tech, and Valpo as well.

We'll see what happens.

Nothing new in this piece:

Suder has signed, though -- nice pickup.

Another one from the northern Indy suburbs. Wonder if he's "bros" with Suder?

Heard about this from our faculty rep over the weekend, but Bellarmine is screwed again by the NCAA

felt inevitable with the NCAA delay in ruling, but Dylan Penn is officially off to Vermont. Definitely a bummer, but wish him nothing but the best

Langdon Hatton announced he is transferring from William and Mary to Bellarmine after playing one year with the Tribe. A 6'10" 230 lb PF played his high school basketball at North Harrison (IN). Huge pickup for the Knights!

his stats from his freshman season seem solid - excited to add some size to a guard heavy roster!
