One league

2 Big10
3 WAC
4 SUN BELT
5 ACC
Other league
( 1 PAC
2 AAC
3 Big12
4 Cusa
5 MWC

This my friends is the split, 10 FBS conferences in two separate leagues, OMG !
Just think of the the Excitement Building up to the playoffs is epic and will produce more money than any other model out there

I don't get the point, or see how this produces a nickel more money than the current model. But the more rational split would seem to me to be:

FOX division

14 B1G
12 MAC
12 PAC
12 MWC
14 AAC
..1 Army
..1 UConn
..1 UMass

67 teams total

ESPN division

16 SEC
14 ACC
12 B12
14 SBC
..9 CUSA
..1 Notre Dame

66 teams total

All the service academies in the same division, and the B1G and PAC's little brothers (MAC and MWC) are together.

Then, how do you stop future realignment from screwing this up?

Interesting.

I wonder if there would be a shift if NBCU gets the Big10 and possibly others...

Nothing is going to change, as the big schools would be giving up home dates to play a balanced schedule. in any given year, most blue blood schools will play 8-9 home games. If you go to a more balanced schedule like the NFL, you may get 6-7 home dates per year. I'd imagine each home game generates close to a million or more per school for the big schools that sell out every game. Plus how many FBS programs would fold if they can't get 1 or 2 big paydays playing the blueblood teams every year?
