Done deal?
It seems that two things are accepted as reality across the threads.
1. We gonna get hammered by the New Nazi review branch of the NCAA, &
2. The majority of the 21-22 team will leave.


We’ve known we would be facing the charges at the end of the season and there are some concerning positions in the seven allegations. If true, some of these should have been avoided. I don’t think it will end up as bad as advertised. There is merit in the complaint that the review was supposed to be independent of the NCAA but not only included but was led by one of their senior investigators. That kind of invalidates the no appeals clause.

We will be penalized. Penny will take a hit. I just hope naively no post season ban.

On players leaving, it’s the nature of the beast. The NCAA created an untenable open transfer portal so all team will-lose and smart teams will thrive.

That said, I don’t buy wholesale exit unless we get hammered. If Harris and Lomax are going to play next year I think it will be here regardless. Not surprised with any decision anybody else makes just not all leaving.

I’ll keep thinking positive unless or until it’s not.

Yes agree adding your #3 is absolute worst case scenario.

As Penny leaving in no way stops 1 & 2 from happening or even lessens either of their impacts.

This is certainly not your typical make the coach the scape goat scenario & the NCAA will not give the University any less harsh punishment for doing so.

Best hope is any penalties to the school & Hardaway are served next season & return to normal the following season.

From a team standpoint I would simply view it as a rebuilding year and use it to develop the young guys who are here to play for the name on the front of the Jersey & rep our great city……which is something I think most would watch & support.
