SMU spring game is tonight. Situational set-ups rather than true game. QB battle between Mordecai and Stone highlight the game. OL seems to be our weakness, but have Texan transfers from Georgia and Virginia (each has started games there) arriving this summer. New HC Lashlee appears to be doing well, hiring best position coaches we have had in sometime.

UC's is tomorrow. Was open to public, now, moved indoors and closed to the public, due to potential weather issues. i do believe that uc does a situational set-up also.

Houston will be wrapping up it's spring with an open practice from 7-9 pm tonight at TDECU Stadium.

Piratefest kicks off today and the Spring game Saturday.

Thus far reports are much improved lines on both sides of the ball. An already deep and talented dline has added two depth pieces having a rotation as deep as 8 players for three positions. Two deep on offensive line are performing well with 4 additions being back this summer. 2 OT's by injury recovery and 2 interior lineman via transfer.

2 real good RB's with a 5th year QB. Outside receiver is a work in progress. TE best athlete in the program.

LB group has some talent, but is thin due to an injury. Need to add a portal recruit. One excellent corner with several vying for the other side. Best safety talent we've accumulated in years.

We should be very competitive this season.

Wish more AAC teams would hold at least a somewhat of game simulation so it would at least be worth broadcasting on ESPN+. Are or were any of these scrimmages broadcast on ESPN streaming services.
