How about them Peacocks !
St. Peters moving on to the elite 8, other mid majors should try to pattern the type of players that they possessed. To take down mighty big Purdue Boilermakers is a monumental feat. The darlings of the NCAA championship this year. Can they get to the final 4, ala Loyola of Chicago ?

RE: How about them Peacocks !
They've had some good wins but Purdue isn't it. Purdue is primarily local players People forget that. Almost entirely an Indiana roster. With no pg. Painter's weak area for years, is not getting solid PG and not having the coaching to develop solid PG.

Painter is the anit-K. If they touched, thered be an explosion. Purdue is big but no play-caller. Ivey being quick is not much good if there's no team flow to match. It's him pretending to be Jordan when he isn't. He's extremely quick and fast but his basketball cannot match. Another thing I'd presume from their play, is a lack of playground. They've been play drilled,AAUed but wth exception of Williams the big passing center, I doubt a lot of time has been played on an urban court against players with nothing to gain or lose. St Peter's players are drilled and confuse.

Example, early second quarter St Peter's player has Purdue forward along base. He dribbles towards paint, a little away from base, toward a big 7'4" kid playing other side of basket. Intead of playing as if someone will take over, forward follows the offensive player leaving a massive whole behind him. No playground savie. O does simple spin to the outside for a layup. Big guy should have stepped up, another player should have watched his back while forward trapped.

My posts on their boards early in the year were they should put Williams into the Magic role. If he can at all do on the move what he can do with his feet set, their PG problems would be over.
