QBs not getting taken in the draft so far. Only 1 in the first round and 3 in the first three rounds.

RE: Cole to the Colts or Chargers in the NFL Draft?
Doesn't look like any Dukes were picked, we'll have to keep an eye out for who gets a shot as an UDFA. Some notable picks:

NDSU:
Christian Watson(WR) - Round 2, pick 2(Green Bay)
Cordell Volson(G) - Round 4, pick 31(Cincinnati)

Villanova:
Christian Benford(CB) - Round 6, pick 6(Buffalo)

App State:
D'Marco Jackson(LB) - Round 5, pick 18(New Orleans)

Coastal Carolina:
Isaiah Likely(TE) - Round 4, pick 34(Baltimore)
Jeffrey Gunter(EDGE) - Round 7, pick 31(Cincinnati)

Louisiana:
Max Mitchell(OT) - Round 4, pick 6(NYJ)
Percy Butler(S) - Round 4, pick 8(Washington)

Marshall:
Nazeeh Johnson(CB) - Round 7, pick 38(Kansas City)

South Alabama:
Jalen Tolbert(WR) - Round 3, pick 24(Dallas)

Liberty:
Malik Willis(QB) - Round 3, pick 22(Tennessee)

Think I got all the Sun Belt/CAA picks plus threw in NDSU as the big FCS rival and Liberty as an in-state G5. Two of the teams reportedly interested in Cole(Colts and Chargers) went without taking any QB, the other two(Falcons, Titans) each took a third round QB.

Nine QBs drafted and many teams signed UDFAs including some teams two. Any word on Cole or any other Duke signing anywhere (other than Liam going to Steelers rookie camp)?

I'd imagine there are a few P5s that don't have that many, especially that highly drafted.

Colts and Chargers signed QBs as undrafted free agents. Washington signed Cole K. of SE LA of all people, plus Sam Houston WR. Not looking for CoJo at the moment.

RE: Cole to the Colts or Chargers in the NFL Draft?
He’ll end up in a rookie camp if nothing else another mini camp arm to sling balls to WRs. It’s about what I expected despite the random dude on twitter saying there’s interest in him being drafted; obviously if there was he’d have had a UDFA signing getting lined up as soon as day 3 was winding down; ditto for Rathke. A year ago I’d bet Fornadel would get an USFA deal, but the injuries derailed that, at least he’ll end up in a rookie camp. Expecting Mike Green to get a similar look.

Davis Cheek from Elon signed as an UDFA by the Panthers.

I know he has a history of leg (I think knee) trouble, but I saw him have some very good games against the Tribe and i think he played well against JMU as well.

I hope he makes it with the Panthers, since they are the team I get on TV every week.

Still a chance Cole gets signed, or at least invited to a camp, but looking at the list of UDFAs not sure he really came close to getting drafted. Those tweets must have really messed with his mind, hope things work out for him.

Baltimore Ravens
QB Anthony Brown, Oregon

Cleveland Browns
QB Felix Harper, Alcorn State

Indianapolis Colts
QB Jack Coan, Notre Dame

Las Vegas Raiders
QB Chase Garbers, California

Los Angeles Chargers
QB Brandon Peters, Illinois

New England Patriots
QB D'Eriq King, Miami

Philadelphia Eagles
QB E.J. Perry, Brown
QB Carson Strong, Nevada

Washington Commanders
QB Cole Kelley, Southeastern Louisiana

So including all the above and Cheek to the Panthers, Cole's market ranking isn't even top 20. He may be on the cusp of something, just such nerve-wracking turmoil for young men to go through.

From NFL.com the "top remaining" undrafted players:

Quarterbacks
1 Carson Strong, Nevada: Signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. (Tom Pelissero)
2 EJ Perry, Brown: Signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. (Tom Pelissero)
3 Jack Coan, Notre Dame: Signing with the Indianapolis Colts. (Tom Pelissero)
4 Kaleb Eleby, Western Michigan
5 Brandon Peters, Illinois: Signing with the L.A. Chargers. (Tom Pelissero)
6 Chase Garbers, California: Signing with the Las Vegas Raiders. (Tom Pelissero)
7 Cole Kelley, Southeastern Louisiana: Signing with the Washington Commanders. (Tom Pelissero)
8 D'Eriq King, Miami: Signing with the New England Patriots. (Tom Pelissero)
9 Dustin Crum, Kent State
10 Zerrick Cooper, Jacksonville State
11 Levi Lewis, Louisiana: Signing with the Seattle Seahawks. (Tom Pelissero)
12 Aqeel Glass, Alabama A&M
13 Anthony Brown, Oregon: Signing with the Baltimore Ravens. (Tom Pelissero)
14 Nick Starkel, San Jose State
15 McKenzie Milton, Florida State
16 Drew Plitt, Ball State
17 Anthony Russo, Michigan State
18 Jarrett Guarantano, Washington State
19 Patrick O'Brien, Washington

The one that I am most surprised by is Brandon Peters as I saw a good bit of him and he is a stiff and has an injury history.

Any new word about Cole’s NFL prospects? I’m still assuming Cole wants to try to play Pro FB, and would at least get a mini-camp tryout.
