I know things are different today and 20 year olds see the portal totally different, but as a teammate don’t you think some guys might be kinda jaded about his return? Especially say Mccray or Travis(can’t remember where Toure played) if Toure takes their reps.
I think it’s way more likely they’re happy their friend is back

Maybe. I don’t know the locker room. But like most places there are uaually little clicks. These 3 guys hang out. Those 4 guys are close. So some guys may be super happy. Others not. I’m posing it from the pride NIU tries to install about being a Huskie. The Hard Way. No respect. Us against them. All that Vince Lombardi locker room crap. The portal by nature, mostly, is guys looking for bigger and better.

Portal is quite a bit about feeling wanted, the love. You don't get that when your 2nd or 3rd team waiting your turn. Half the guys in the portal don't belong. Regarding Toure, most likely the lineman would resent that BS. Stepping out , stepping in..... dude, you're not a star, work hard, play hard and we can win and have fun. That is a more realistic expectation.

Im sure if it’s not 100% cool with everyone it will be soon enough. Sometimes you just have to re-prove yourself and then people are good. Either way I’m Glad to have him back. He’s in the top 5 at WR so it’s a net positive.
Does his return cost anyone a roster spot or does Ham save a spot or two for stuff?

Can he return kickoffs? That's a key need with Rudolph out.
Also, maybe he was in the portal and not really getting any offers to play elsewhere. Who knows?? Glad to have him back though since he had 3 (?) years of experience being in our program.

Also, WR Alex Crawford no longer appears on the roster.
Toure….”Rudolph is hurt? I’m a Huskie again!”
More likely, "gee the portal has 100s of WRs and nobody is calling... guess competing against only 15 is better odds."
He didn't go back day 1 of the injury.
I doubt we see him on field for a while.

RE: 2022 Football Roster Is Up
Yeah, probably not a lot of options in August. Who knows, there might have been an agreement to see what he could get and if it didn't work out he could come back.
As for the players, a number of players retweet transfer portal posts, including his out of love. I'd be surprised if his fellow WRs wouldn't be welcoming him back with open arms for the most part.
What he has done is allowed others to move up the depth chart during fall camp. He's probably now just going to be added depth with minimal opportunity to contribute unless injuries pile up, which appears to be fine for both parties at this point.

Toure is an outstanding blocker in the run game, as much as he probably hates being limited to that role. I believe he will play this season.

I was actually wondering how Toure felt. If he had just stuck with it we are talking about him as the #3 or # 4 guy? Now he’s what? 5th? At best?
I like him, always did. But WR transfer like crazy - so hard to find somewhere to land at that position.

RE: 2022 Football Roster Is Up
I'm curious to see what is in store for Toure. I can easily imagine Hammock telling him that the door was still open for him, but there that there would be conditions. I would be pretty shocked if we see him on the field at all in the next month. As for how his teammates view him, I think that 100% is based on how he has handled himself during these last few weeks. If he was running his mouth to guys about getting out there or being unhappy, that would be drastically different to his teammates then him simply saying he got frustrated and wanted to see what else was out there and realized his mistake. I would imagine it has to be much closer to the later, otherwise I don't see Hammock being willing to bring back a distraction or potential problem. Everything I've ever heard about him as a person since he came to NIU has always been that he is an extremely hard worker and excellent teammate. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about him off the field or effort-wise.
