Emoni Bates, the first 5 star basketball player to sign with a MAC school is finally in the EMU eagle nest!!!

This is great for EMU and the MAC! It will raise the profile of EMU, increase the attendance at every arena he visits and gain national exposure for our conference!! EMU will have a big target on our backs! Especially on Emoni!! Should be interesting to see how he and EMU play thru it.

yup, EMU will get teams' attention and should help generate some fun conference gameday environments. I mean, I don't know if it'll matter much at NIU or Miami but those in state games, Toledo, Ohio, Kent, teams with a bit bigger and more attentive fan bases will be excited to see Emoni and the Eagles.

Still, for EMU I think Farrakhan's growth and the impact of the 3 other transfers (including two 2nd year former Big East PFs) will be just as crucial to how good they are. Heath is a quality coach and hopefully guys will stay healthy and this is a turnaround year. If the convo is even half full and the team pretty good it will become a tough place to play and exciting environment.
