Sharp coming back to WKU elevates them to the top of the portal offseason (along with the two I mentioned already). MTSU did great by not having anyone there, but I'm not sure I'd put them in the top 3 for the preseason next year just because they do lose their top two scorers.

We’re going to be fine. I was mostly worried about losing our young talent. Keeping them was more important. We’re one of the few teams in conference that could go 10 deep without much of a drop off.

Agreed, I have pretty big expectations next year. Jefferson and Sims were great players, but last years team was the most balanced MT team I've ever seen. There were a handful of players last year that could step up and be the leading score on any given night.

And our starting point guard is back after sitting out with an injury last season.

Should have 4 starters back, counting Jalen Jordan.

A few portal additions for teams I have missed the last couple of days: Charlotte adds Lu'Cye Patterson from Missouri State, FIU picked up John Williams from Glenville St, and UTEP has added Otis Frazier III from George Mason and Shamar Givance from Evansville.

RE: Transfer Portal Entries
Sorry I'm too lazy to look up the names, but FIU got a pretty high scoring transfer from Hartford. In fact, he might be the highest scoring transfer any CUSA school has gotten so far?

And Rice got a transfer from Nevada - a 6-4 guard originally from Bosnia. He didn't play a ton his first two years at Nevada, but we need guards. We're now at 14 scholarship players for 2022-23 (? unless one of the announced guys coming in is a walk-on). So we must have one other current player not coming back, but I don't believe it's a significant loss.

RE: Transfer Portal Entries
WKU forward Jairus Hamilton has decided to remove his name from the transfer portal and return to play for WKU next season. Hamilton averaged 13 and 5 and was going to be a tough piece to replace. Still think the Tops will land a backup guard and big from the portal, but our roster is now mostly set.

La Tech adds Dravon Mangum from Radford. Haven't been watching the portal list as intently lately. Anyone else make any additions I may have missed?

Big time get for WKU. Emmanuel Akot has flipped from Memphis to WKU. The Tops finally have their SG.

Tremendous news. Always happy to see great players stay at their schools.

6-8 2 guard is pretty good. Just once again will come down to talent meshing and team chemistry. Also can they get over the hump in March, time will tell.
