Didn’t want to post this before the game to make it seem like I was throwing shade because it wasn’t the intention, but interesting nugget: Going into today, Houston under Sampson is 6-0 vs double digit seeds and 0-2 vs single digit seeds in the tourney.

I like them to break that streak today.

It's actually 8-0 and 0-3 but yes under Sampson we've never been upset in the tournament and never pulled an upset. Of course one of the two categories has a slightly bigger sample size.

Only up 4 at the half is not where I would want to be if I was Houston. Should have been up double digits.

i think sampson will make adjustments, note illinois is playing 2 players they havent played all year that we didnt game plan for

Unfortunately Illinois is proving to just be too much for us. I’m not surprised though as I predicted after our injuries that we would struggle mightily to make the sweet 16.
