March Madness
Seems we need a thread.

David Roddy is such a fun player to watch. Great first matchup between Michigan and the Rams.

Roddy’s game reminds me of Cumberland’s.

Very much so - a slightly larger version. Great feel for the game, and a walking mismatch.

Whoever decided having Rex Chapman in the studio would be entertaining?

Wow - Emoni Bates just checked in. I suppose Nike and/or Adidas flexed their muscles and asked that Bates play if Memphis came to Portland.

Memphis has been a top 15-20 for a month and half. Penny has them rolling. Their second round matchup with Gonzaga has the potential to be awesome.

Memphis is conjuring up visions of that 8 seed Kentucky team that the undefeated Wichita St shockers got stuck playing in Round 2. Penny showing that blue chip talent accumulation still is the name of the game for some schools.

Or that 8 Seed UCLA squad we had to play in 2002.

I think the stats have shown if you want to do very well in the NCAA tournament, you need to have several future NBA players on the roster.

Memphis is going to beat the Zags if they bang.

GA State hung in but NSOSEME hurt and sat 2nd half. Zags now up 14.

Now 25 on 20-0 run

RE: March Madness
Memphis vs Gonzaga is going to be an interesting matchup. Gonzaga's relatively soft scoring big men against Memphis's strong banging bigs. I picked Gonzaga to win the match-up (though honestly I made my bracket last minute and almost no thought went into it) but after watching most of both games I'm leaning towards Memphis. Refs might decide it, the more they let them bang, the more it favors Memphis.

Sucks for Nsoseme, seems like he's had health issues his entire career, but has been a really good contributor for GA State when healthy.

UConn vs New Mexico St makes UC's offense look good.

8 minutes in and there are almost fewer total points than minutes played

New Mexico States Teddy Allen looks and plays a lot like Jarron Cumberland.
