Left a lot of money on the table unfortunately...whoever advised him doesn't understand what "sell high" means.

Do you really see Memphis matching up well against them?
Memphis had a real scoring drought

When you look at the shots quality data, Gonzaga was more dominant than you think today. But I do think Memphis is good enough to give them trouble. They are a top 15-20 team

I wanted to take Memphis deep in the brackets S16/F8, but couldn't take them over Zags. Zags just play too disciplined for Memphis to beat them IMO.

RE: March Madness
Traveling today and only tuned into KY with 3 mins remaining. They were up 6 at that point and ran three straight possessions that were bonkers bad. I question Calipari coaching ability as well after seeing that debacle.

Freeman goes and gets the ball off the glass for Akron. So active for them.

The game will probably be decided in the paint. Timme and Chet Vs Duran and Williams. Both teams strength is their front court, both teams get a lot of points in the paint.

Its a colorful matchup, as good as Timme and Holmgren are Memphis does have a beast in Duran and an experienced all around star in Williams.

I think the key is if Duran and Williams can stay out of foul trouble guarding Timme and Holmgren. They could play physical with Gonzaga and give them trouble. If they can stay on the floor and Memphis hit a few 3's it will be a very exciting and fun game.

I'm curious to see will Holmgren be able to alter Memphis' paint scoring.

It might end up being the case that Gonzaga is a bad matchup for Memphis because they like to run too, can score a ton of points and can matchup in the paint. Timme and Holmgren are not as athletic, physical or explosive but they are more skilled. That may blunt Memphis's strengths. When the other team can match and surpass your biggest strengths that is problem. So again it could turn out to be a bad matchup for Memphis.

Memphis is a solid 2nd weekend team, but they ended up in that 8/9 game so now they have to play 1# Gonzaga.

I think if they had got a 7 or 10 seed that make the S16 at minimum.

Jaquez has gotten away with two obvious charges late that lead to 5 ucla points. Akron got called for a weak illegal screen. All huge now

I wish Cincy had got Huggins back after Cronin bolted.

I think he fits Cincy better than West Virginia.

Mick has alligator blood at ucla. Every break they need late they get. It's surreal when you watched his bad luck at uc.

John Groce is out of central casting for the dad who gets pulled out of the stands to coach his son's youth basketball game because the coach is stuck in traffic.

RE: March Madness
If Alli kicks to the corner on that drive Akron gets a wide open 3 to take the lead. It was WIDE open. The kind of 3 that killed UC all the time in those kind of games.

The corner one was wide open. If I remember correctly it was off an offensive rebound. The second was just an awesome shot.

I enjoyed watching New Mexico St. beat Uconn! They were 0-8 in the NCAA Tournament since I moved to Albuquerque and its nice to see them get a W especially after their brutal loss in their last NCAA Tournament game against Auburn.
