And then being down, what, about 25 points just five mins into the second half? I guess that’s better than getting it to 8 points in the second half. It’s alright, I know math is hard for Jax State fans. Let me help you, 25 > 8.
UAB got destroyed and someone pointing that out got to your feelings...its as simple as that. All you had to do was just say...yes, my team got beat by a team that was better and played the best defense we seen. Then left it at that because at no point in that game was Houston threaten. Not even when Houston subbed and UAB cut into the lead. Houston quickly pushed it back out .
That's about the facts of that game and someone pointing it out and you getting your feelings hurt...wont change those facts. One of the most overmatched 12/5 match ups of the tourney because the Houston defense is good and when they make 3s they make a lot of teams look bad.
At lease UAB gets to add a conference and Ncaa tourney flag in the rafters . That's something to be proud of in the 2nd year after a coaching change

If in my feelings means pointing out facts about it being a more competitive game than some here are suggesting then sure, I’m in my feelings. I’m not saying that Houston didn’t put it on us, I said that on the AAC board. But to act like we were blown out from start to finish is just inaccurate. Again, we had it down to single digits a decent way into the second half. And people having any opinion when their team is not even in the tournament is just funny to me. I know I don’t go bashing teams when UAB isn’t in it.

This is the conference board where people state opinion on other teams all the time. I think most people on this board were pulling for UAB to get a win. But if we are limited to talking about games our team is playing...
might as well not have a conference board.
Houston did the same thing to Western last season...suffocating defense and made most of their 3s. Made Western look like a JV team and at that point Western was on the fence for a at large bid. I personally love defense that is played like that. Thought this was going to be a bad match up for UAB. If Walker's shot was not falling it would get ugly.
Still a really good season for UAB and anytime you get a NCAA Bid your team is better off than all but 64.

Congrats to your abomination of a basketball program who slid ass backwards into the tourney.
and they lasted just as many games as yours did, so it doesn matter
Sorry, I don’t speak didntmaketournament. Can anyone translate?

I agree with you. Houston just toyed with UAB. It was never a close game. I feel like Houston was on cruise control the whole game. They looked good again today against Illinois.

Houston looks like a team that could possibly win it all. Big, strong, athletic and can shoot

UAB got screwed. Clearly Houston was underrated as a 5 seed.
