Still a #8 vs Kansas in 2nd round
Looks like Virginia Tech knocked out SMU

Palm still has us an 11 seed. Not sure how he comes to that conclusion

We move from an 11 to an 8 without playing, then go nowhere with a Q1 win (and Va Tech adding another with their run).

This is science?

I like the bracket we're projected to be in. Get by Marquette and we have a chance for revenge against Kansas, then on to Calsucky!

I’d much rather play Baylor than Kansas.

RE: Lunardi Bracketology 3/13
They are just predicting but agree that late conference tourney wins for tourney locks likely don’t elevate them in seeding

All the committee attention is on the bubble and the 1-3 lines

The tournament is so fun and for so many schools making it or getting a single win or even two is a real benchmark so I wish the committee paid more attention to the later games. But with matchup rules and pod travel etc they don’t likely make as many late changes as we think

They could

Right now they should have already had two scenarios. Memphis wins, they get slotted here and Houston there. Same thing should Houston get lucky and win. Same for TXAM and Tennessee and the Big Ten etc

Don’t think they do

We are a lock. Houston is a lock. We are probably 7 or 8/9 now they are probably a 5 now. And if so that is where we will be later today. Beating UCF might have ended it for us which stinks because beating SMU and possibly Houston again should matter in the middle seeding

Don’t want our fan base to be so excited about getting back to the tourney then to feel so slapped in the face with a 9. Once we are there it is simply matchups. Arizona and Gonzaga seem a step up from the rest. Hell our first round opponent will be a really good team too so hopefully we get lucky with location and opponent (s)

8 is reasonable but low end. We’re 26 in kenpom, 31 in rpi, 31 in net, 20 in Sagarin, 22 BPi, and we’re on absolute fire. There seems 0 way to justify anything lower than an 8 as none of our metrics put us outside of that range. Don’t understand how we’re a 10 on bracket matrix.

We'll see what happens but also think that the seed may (unfortunately) have already been determined...

I'd rather have 10-12 instead of being on the 8/9 line.

With this team, the seed really doesnt matter. Hell, give us a 12 if they want.

The true test of a seed is which 1/2 seeds are wanting us in their bracket for the first weekend. If none of them do (and they shouldnt) then 7, 8, 9, and 10 seeds should be off the table.

Would not be shocked to get a 6.
We are probably past it but an 11 would be a huge motivating number.

By the time our game is over the bracket will pretty much be set.

Hate to see SMU out.. They might have chance if Texas A&M and another team lose.. All they can do, just watch and wait.

UAB made it to the Big Dance lol!!!

Now that I'm out of Chaco Canyon, I've had a chance to look at some simulations. From what I'm seeing, if we lose tonight to Houston, we are still a 7 seed. Of course that's all based on statistical analysis and what the committee decides will be based on both subjective and objective factors, but the aforementioned number is a reasonable baseline using objective data.

I would say 6 with a win and 7 with a loss seem reasonable. Hopefully, the committee is reasonable.

Playing Marquetta in an arena that is an hour away from Milwaukee? Don't care for that.

And how does he still have Michigan still in?
