Is the OVC done for now?
They currently have 8 members. Perfect number for a basketball tournament. Still wondering if they may add Chicago State. If that happens, I wonder about adding Western Illinois, even if it is for non-football only. Not sure if the OVC would be willing to do that, but it would be the perfect option for WIU. Stay in the MoValley Football Conference, which is considered the best FCS conference. Move their other sports to the OVC, which would save them a ton of travel expenses compared to the Summit League.

RE: Is the OVC done for now?
Actually the OVC has 10 members at the moment. I have seen so many rumors about Tennessee State and, possibly Tennessee Tech, leaving I had already counted them out.
Starting to get a little late for teams to move, before next season, but I guess it could still happen in the next month or so. Will be interesting to see what happens.

RE: Is the OVC done for now?
USI alum and new to the OVC. I have long heard the rumors of TSU heading to SWAC. Supposedly, their fans want it. They have also come out and said they want to be in FBS. I don’t see how joining these SWAC helps them get into FBS. Maybe I am wrong in that thinking. For them, I feel if they would need to look towards the Summit League and have Summit begin sponsoring football as they would be the 6th school. Or join the ASUN if they are wanted. I believe would be better options of moving in the FCS.

The travel cost of the Summit would probably be too much. They would most likely need a travel partner in Tech coming along and may get Western Illinois to jump ship as well which would give 8 schools for football in Summit and all but eliminate the OVC and force a complete merger with Southland or Big South.
