I mean, the last thing you want here is putting a team in that might see wins vacated. For the schools who may line up and perish to LSU in the tournament, it’s not a good look.

If LSU was a bubble team, I could definitely see this tipping them off the bubble.

But given that they are projected as one of the 25-30 top teams, I don't think there's much chance of that happening.

Bruce Pearl was subject to one after his dismissal from Tennessee. It's not all that uncommon and Wade is definitely at risk of it.

But would they voluntarily ban themselves from this year's tournament in an attempt to get leniency from the NCAA?

I'm thinking no. I think they take their chances with the NCAA.
