The response of Mr. Ruiz, the Miami god-father, was equally...amazing.

He responded that Wong is "Under Contract" and isn't going to humor his demands that he's not getting enough.

Hate to lose a highly rated local kid at that position. Guessing he got beat out on the two deep. The days of working and waiting your turn are quickly passing.

New position coach who didn't recruit him might not help, either.

Not to besmirch the kid, but some guys are great players coming out of high school but just don't pan out at this level for a variety of reasons. This is not a situation where he is leaving to go to be a contributor at a "better" program. This is for the best for both the program and him.

I believe he is done with football and will play basketball at Mount St. Joes.

Yeah, this has been out for a couple of weeks unless he has changed his mind and now wants to go back to football somewhere.

The pace really seems to be slowing down on this board.

I guess Collinsworth's heart wasn't totally into division 1 college football. He probably was frustrated at the large number of talented offensive linemen that he would be competing against. His choice of playing college basketball at a small university like Mount St. Joseph was probably showing his love for basketball. I THOUGHT he was going to be a starting offensive lineman for UC in the future but he didn't want to sit for awhile and get his turn. Good luck, Luke. We never really knew you.

I concur in wishing him the best. Any program that aspires to compete at UC's level (CFP/NY6) needs plenty of size, talent, and depth on the O line so it's really disappointing for us that a well regarded prospect didn't stay with the Bearcats.
