What are you, the thread police? Of course you would say that.
And aren't all rankings somebody's opinion?

Really only a couple Houston fans have reacted negatively to it.

RE: The 25 best college basketball programs of the 21st century
John Calipari had Memphis positioned to become the outsider that was crashing the power conference's Final Four dominance. From 2005-2006 to 2008-2009, the Tigers went 61-1 in Conference USA play, reaching three regional finals and the 2008 national championship game. (The 2007-2008 season would later be vacated. ) He was cultivating his program to take advantage of the one-and-done era, which he would take with him to Kentucky in 2009. Josh Pastner took over and couldn't keep the train rolling, Tubby Smith struggled in two seasons as well, and now former star Penny Hardaway has been tasked with reviving the program. The four-year run that Calipari had with guys like Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas-Roberts, and Rodney Carney was magical. Hardaway's recruiting prowess has people believing the program is back, but that hasn't resonated on the court.
So...your ranking is based on achievements that happened over a decade ago, and your FF appearance got wiped from the record book.

Did you read the title? Programs of the 21st century. Pretty sure a decade ago counts. So who's the dope?
Oh, and if you want to go more recent, and use this season, head to head with your school, I'm good with that, too. 2-0.

Yeah, we're 2-2 over the past two years. Yesterday was the first game in Memphis. The other 3 were in Texas. If we meet again this year, guess what state it will be played in?

Thank you, I understood that. The point was that crowing about a ranking based entirely on pre-AAC accomplishments isn't the "dig us" moment you might have thought it was.

what??? i dont make silly threads from fansites... i wouldn't note this at all from a site like yardbreaker.. and would have put it in the basketball thread if it was from like cbs or espn
houston has ran the aac 4+ years in basketball.. there are hundred of articles i could have posted to show how good Houston is.. you wont find any "Houston is great threads" from me, or any houston poster here (that ggoes beyond news like commitments).... we have 1 poster who makes pregame trash talking threads in football but thats his thing..
i dont care that the thread was made, i just thought it was off anyone was putting stock into a fansite ..would actually be a fun thread if it was a legit news site...
i'd jump in the debate like; 1 championship > 1 final 4 (memphis vs baylor)
pitt made the list but hasnt made a final 4 in the 21st century
but i really dont care about the opinion of some random guy on the internet with no sports credentials ..they can have thier opinion
