That's a meaningful blow to them. He was a very good 6th man type. I wonder what his aspirations are... he couldn't crack their "starting rotation", but got almost starter minutes and scored double digits on average.

Doesn't seem like the resume to "move up" to me, but this also could be as much about degree as anything? A quick look at their roster shows Ray and Cooks are seniors, but I don't pretend to know with Covid and such to know if they have eligibility - I have a hard enough time tracking that with the Tribe.

Weird to see three now entering the portal from Hofstra.

Edit: A quick look tells me that Ray and Cooks have both played 5 full seasons, so I assume their eligibility is done.

JMU board reporting all 3 of their freshmen on the team this year are in the portal. Either the coach is running off kids he thinks he made a mistake on or there is trouble out there. We've had 2 years of Dane's kids not hitting the portal so I guess that's a good thing if this is supposed to be about more than just about basketball. As a fan, though, its hard to remember it is supposed to be about more than just basketball.
