They have 56,000 students. Are they better than CSU and UIW? I guess, that’s a really low floor of success though. UIW and CSU have 13,000 students combined. So how good a job does FIU do with their resources?

I guess it is better to mis-manage funds to a program than to not have the funds to begin with. Sounds like FIU is a sleeping giant that just needs better management of their basketball program. Just like Chicago State and IWU, FIU sits a talent rich area of the country... unlike NMSU which is a college basketball Mid-Major Mecca sitting in a talent barren desert.

They’ve been a “sleeping giant” since they added football and joined the SBC. They will finish near or at the bottom most years in CUSA basketball.

Cal Bap very unimpressive in the first half. Never got much offense going.

Nice interview with Brandon from WHD at the half. Picked up a few nuggets. Always nice to hear from him.

Yeah, CBU looks snakebit. A lot of shots hitting the bottom of the rim.

Hoping the next game offers a little more excitement.

You could see a little spark in Woodbury last night, but I think he’s going to let loose tonight. Last time he played at Orleans he had 34 vs NM State.

So much for CBU tiring out Sam Houston for the next game.

Nice half of basketball for UVU, except for throwing the ball away constantly. Should be a good 2nd half.

The three former SLC powers (SHSU, ACU, and SFA as co-champs) are making an impact in this WAC tournament. Now we are down to the top 6 teams. The tournament seeding is hold true with the lower number seeded team winning the first four games. Now the margin for error gets smaller between schools. SFA is the hottest team coming into the tournament and GCU brought a large contingent of fans for support. ACU and SHSU will have their work cut out for them tomorrow.

It will be an uphill battle for sure, but glad we are still in it and playing well at the right time. I am also glad to see SFA and SHSU doing well. The Cats will need an amazing game against the Jacks.

Definitely gonna have to stay up and watch tonight’s games. I’m taking SHSU and SFA. I also think those are the two teams that present the hardest path for NMSU to get the tournament title.

I'm hoping for a multiple overtime game between GCU and SHSU. Totally not because I want the team that faces us to be utterly exhausted, but because they play that close. No selfish wishes here.

You know us Aggie fans, the most humble and least salty of all. Only beaten out by Duke and Kansas fans of course.

Of course! 03-lmfao
Only 469 long days before you all move on to C-USA. You will be missed.

C'mon GCU it should be tied at half! Y'all need to set the record of WAC OTs at 10 minimum! For record reasons of course!

Jokes aside this has been a damn close game. Better than I was expecting but I did think GCU would be on top at half. Glad I ain't a gambling man.

Great game between GCU and SHSU, but GCU moves on.

DAMN!!! SFA left their game back at home with those WAC Championship t-shirts and ACU brought it.

Great game by ACU, still playing well at the right time. Seattle will be another huge challenge. SFA will always deserve respect!!
