Former UT & Current Ohio State Assistant Basketball Coach Ryan Pedon to be named Head Coach at Illinois State of the Missouri Valley Conference. I always liked Ryan as a person and coach and think he will do a great job at Illinois State!

I was at Miami (OH) when Pedon was an assistant there. Damn, I wish I had stayed in touch with him.

met him over the phone when I was doing a little sports journalism back when he was starting at Miami. really generous and straightforward guy.

Totally agree. I met him at the same time you did but obviously for different reasons. Great guy. I hope he does well. Was he at Toledo for only one year?

Talked to him once when he first started with the Rockets very nice young man.

He was here for TK's first 3 seasons.

I heard people in Columbus think in a few years him or Jeff Boals will replace Holtman.

Was a finalist for the Cincinnati job last year according to insiders there.

Getting the Rockets into the NCAA tourney would make TK an attractive candidate for bigger and richer programs than UT. He seems pretty established in Toledo and will have a great looking roster coming back next season but if somebody like Maryland or Missouri made an offer he couldn't ignore - who knows?
