RE: Demolition begins: Goldsworth Valley Apartments
Glad to hear this. They were a dump 15 years ago, can't imagine what they look like now. I'm also happy that it will just be a green space afterward.

WMU just announced that the Bernhard Center is going to be demolished after the new student center is completed. Seems like a shame. It's a big building that is used for MANY different functions. Built in the 50s, it's been expanded and renovated several times. Seems like it could still be used for something after the new student center opens. Renovate into a modern conference center maybe? Hotel? Sad to see it go. Spent a lot of time there as a student.

Yup
Goldsworth should have been gone years ago.

Certainly seems like Bernhard Center could/should have a second life.

Bernhard Center felt old & cheap. Glad it's going. What to do w/ that space? Glad area where those apartments were will be green space. (maybe more IM fields?)
