Ready to Move
I think we're ready to move over to the Sun Belt board if it's not too much trouble. Several of us have been discussing getting this board more active.

I agree with all the above. It is time to move this board out of CUSA. Once it’s moved we can spread the word and get traffic flowing on it again.

I never check the team boards (really didn't even know they existed). But yeah, getting things moved to the SBC boards is a good idea.

The truth is CUSA is hanging on by a shoestring as an FBS conference. They know over there if there is movement in the next 2-5 years, say MT goes to the AAC and WKU along with UMass/Missouri State goes to the MAC then LA Tech, UTEP, NMSU are in deep crap. It might be easy for JSU and Sam Houston to go back and Liberty would just throw their dity money around as an indy again.

The MWC isn't going to take UTEP
The SB has already said "Thanks but No Thanks" to LA Tech
And I think NMSU was on its last legs as an indy, if not for CUSA, I think you would have seen them playing IAA football in the WAC in a few years.

I can see this happening. I think the ACK loses two schools to the B12. Memphis and SMU/USF, probably USF but SMU has the pedigree and the money to be considered over USF.

I can see MTSU take the Memphis spot, not sure who takes the other spot... Ga State? ODU? Buffalo? who knows... No way any MWC teams join.

WKU to the MAC with UMASS or Mizzou State. MTSU to B12 and CUSA is dead.

I do think that the AAC will become a Texas centric conference just the way CUSA was. All the money is now in the Western Division of the AAC. I give it 5 years and all the Eastern Divsion teams will be bitching just like we were. It'll be CUSA all over again.

If parody wins out like I think it will and no one come close to taking the NY6 bowl, I don't even give it 5 years, 3 at the max. And it will be lead by Temple and ECU, maybe Charlotte.

At that point they will want rid of the 10 million dollar exit fee which was put in place to keep the bell cows in UCF, Houston and Cincy. We see how that worked out. And you will see them whining and crying they want the mythical eastern based conference with Marshall, Appy and ODU.

At that point Im out of !@#$ to give and I'll give you my thoughts and prayers. Myself I have no desire to be in a conference with Temple, Charlotte has been a fraud from the beginning and most ECU fans have seen themselves better than the conference they were in.

CLiT and FAU will be happy to just be there (same way they were with being in CUSA). They won't say anything to rock the boat. It will be ECU and Temple that will speak up just like Marshall and SoMiss did.

After the Circus loses a few bowl bids and their media deal takes another hit, their only hope is Daddy Warbucks (Liberty) floating some money around.
I'm curious about NMSU. I don't know much about their football, but their basketball seems solid. Maybe they can improve enough to get a look from MWC?

But I agree with a few AAC teams getting fed up pretty quick. It'll be interesting to see if their media takes a hit if/when Memphis +1 leaves
