Women's hoops 2021-22
New head coach Bridgitte Mitchell has added two transfers to the program.

G Donna Ntambue from Utah...

And F Emily Calabrese from St. Bonaventure...

https://twitter.com/GoNUwbasketball/stat...95841?s=20

NU lost guards Stella Clark (transferred to Monmouth) and Mide Oriyomi (transferred to Purdue) and Mossi Staples (transferred to Coppin State).

They also lost F Ayana Dublin who graduated, so they at least added a player for those positions so far.

Forwards Alexis Hill and Katie May should be healthy this season after missing all of last season.

I LOVE Soriano's game. She doesn't look like a freshman point guard.

I agree. Soriano and Donna Ntambue are JMU type players IMO.

Great find by Coach B!

NU got their first ever win at JMU with a decisive 62-50 victory. NU gets a split of a tough Towson/JMU road trip and the win puts them at 6-3 in the league (12-7 overall).

The 3 losses are to the 3 teams ahead of them in the standings (Drexel, Delaware and Towson) and NU still gets to play those 3 again at Cabot.

RE: Women's hoops 2021-22
Despite blowing a 13-point lead to Towson last week in the CAA Quarterfinals, NU’s season isn’t over after all.

They’re going to play Cleveland State in the Women’s Basketball Invitational in Lexington, KY.

For a young team this is something that can really help them in the future.
