Blazers scored three in the bottom of the ninth, but came up one run short, 13-12. Hate it that we can beat the top teams in the league, but we lose to the bottom teams. (Basketball, anyone?)

Really need to salvage a win out of this series tomorrow.

Fortunately for us, Marshall lost their first game of their series with Old Dominion yesterday, but their game today has been delayed because of weather. We are still two games up, but we need ODU to take care of business and win that series.

So some good news and bad news....

Bad news: Baseball dropped the series to FIU

Good News: A win tomorrow coupled with a ODU sweep of Marshall can clinch the 8th seed in the CUSA tournament (We have tiebreaker). La Tech eliminated WKU from contention earlier today.

They had been slipping a bit lately, but really rounded back into form over the weekend. We will likely have to beat them twice to advance.

Lost 4-3 on Wednesday to Southern Miss. Back at it on Thursday night at 7:30 vs. either Florida Atlantic or UTSA. The game is on ESPN+.
