Speaking of KD, he officially withdraws from NBA Draft, after several workouts and a lot of feedback. It was mostly a foregone conclusion, but now it's formal.

Temple has added transfer and former Temple HS recruiting target Junior Taj Thweatt, a 6'7" SF from WVU. He will be reunited with his HS teammate, Jahlil White.

With the addition of Jamille Reynolds, Kur Jonkguch, & Taj Thweatt, Temple has gone a long way toward rebuilding its front court, which will have a mixture of 6'10," 6'8," and 6'7" players (Jourdain, Reynolds, Jongkguch, Hicks, White, Thweatt, & Okpomo).

Temple, with 3 guards, 3 wings, and 4 big men, still has 3 scholarship spots to fill. One of those is expected to go to a backup PG.

He'll be rejoining his former HS teammate, Jahlil White (#1 in this video) at Temple. The two are good friends, and they played extremely well together in HS, so this could yield some positive synergies for Temple in 2022-23.





Thweatt didn't get a chance to play many minutes at WVU, but he will have more opportunities to play at Temple, for example, as Nick Jourdain's backup at the PF position.

Like Temple's other wings - Jahlil White and Zach Hicks - Thweatt can play both the 3 and 4 positions. With their abundance of Wings and SFs, it seems likely that Thweatt will help to shore up the Owls' front court at times, playing as a needed backup to Nick Jourdain, who missed more than his share of mpg due to foul trouble late in Feb. and March. His defensive and rebounding ability could really give Temple a much-needed boost when Jourdain is on the bench.

There are other targets, as well. And it's likely that Quinones and Williams both return.

We went after Shareef after HS, but lost out. We've been on Mayer awhile. I think we take Emmanuel at the end if we have room. Jayden is in the same spot. Will take a scholly if we have room, otherwise no.

Could be true. Dandridge isn't terrible. I just know Penny has a history of pulling rabbits out of a hat with recruiting. He could pull in someone listed at PF and use him at the 5. I know there were at least a couple of uncommitted PFs left in the top 100.
