FedEx PA Announcer
Is it just a tad bit overboard? I like some enthusiasm, but it sounds somewhat comical to me.

Not as bad as when Howard Cosell would do baseball.

It works for an NBA game… not so much for college.

He’s the worst I’ve ever heard. Even worse than that nasally guy at Freedom Hall in the 80s.

Matter of fact, when they sent out that survey a few weeks ago asking fans about their basketball experience and asked what you would change- the court and the PA announcer were the top 2 things

Yes. One would think that the lackluster fan response to the "FOR?" question after three point shots would have been a clue that it isn't working.

He is ten times better than the felon he replaced

But is a tad overboard sometimes although much of that is related to ad revenue and he gets paid

I don’t think there is an ad attached to the insufferable X player for (wait for the threeeeee)

As always yesterday the two or three timeouts when there wasn’t a sponsor were more fun, just the band and cheerleaders!

I went to my granddaughter's cheerleading competition a few weeks back. They had an announcer like that at every different stage. They all sounded just alike.

Not brothers but yes, easily confused. Lou Cosell.

He’s awful. Chuck Roberts was awful too but for different reasons. Tommy Presto sucked too.

Fred Cook was the man.

RE: FedEx PA Announcer
As someone that has done PA announcing at every level, for 35 years, it pains me to listen to 90% of PA announcers nowadays.

You can be excited without everything being a loud screech. But, my opinion is the minority.
