We are waiting on him to declare for the draft…even tho he’s not technically eligible.

Told y’all he wasn’t coming back. His folks just don’t want it to make like he quit the team. He’ll be with G League Unite or Overseas next year before entering draft. We’re better without him.

I feel for the kid. He is going to be a great ball player but he was set up for failure here by everyone around him through no fault of his own. I hope he comes back next season and makes believers out of everyone.

Memphis fanbase is BIPOLAR AF.. They now look at Bates with disdain LOL.. I am asking myself.. Who is gonna play when Williams and Duren are gone after this year???

Bates didn't deliver this season for a lot reasons, but I am confident he will contribute a lot next year.. He is still a elite player.

I hope he comes back, but my expectations are that he will not. There have been signs indicating a quiet exit from the program, perhaps to preserve dignity for all involved.
