Thoughts?

He's definitely in the discussion. A lot could depend on these last few games as well. UNT is going to be that odd team that wins a conference, but does so without a single player putting up gaudy numbers. I assume when you are asking this question, you mean he make one of the all conference teams? I would lean towards 2nd team at the moment.

Personally, I think he is All-Conference. He does whatever UNT needs him to do and will hit the clutch shots to close out games. If UNT can win out (regular season & conference tournament) he will be big reason for it. My concern is that he isn't a starter.

He is probably in the discussion for national 6th Man of the Year.

He’s a smiss so…

I will say this about the UNT players, no bitching, no whining just business when we played them. Can’t say that about a couple other teams that recently played in Boca.

And what have I done to warrant that response from you? The dude just lit us the hell up, if he did that every game he’d no doubt be first team. Saying he’s one of the top ten players in the conference is by no means a knock on him or UNT…

Those are all great players, and deserve to be first team. I'll compare their numbers against Perry's in the games we faced them.

Lofton 20 Perry 10 (still injured, and his first game back since playing ODU the week before, but hit the game winning 3 with 6 seconds in the game)
Jelly 17 Perry 15
Jelly 17 Perry 25 (hit the game winning 3 with 4 seconds in the game)
Boum 20 Perry 3
McKnight 23 Perry 13
Young 10 Perry 17

I wouldn't be miffed if this ended up being the first team. Those guys have all been exceptional. I think the 2nd team would probably have to include Marshall's Kindsey if he doesn't make 1st team.

UAB’s coach, Andy Kennedy, said after the loss to North Texas that Perry is likely the conference MVP.

Perry is not only all conference, should be in the run for MVP.

Based purely on stats, McCasland is not going to have a lot of all conference players. However, I doubt anyone is going to not have players from the best team in the conference honored.

Just win.
