Late bloomer, just got offers from Virginia and Cincinnati in the last month after visiting for Junior camps. Love his size, but can't find much tape on him at all.

Idk if he has monkey arms like sauce or even myself lol, but that is a sauce frame if I’ve ever seen one. I really like this pickup myself.

Off Topic:
I remember Amare Snowden comparisons to Sauce which I never understood as he was built sturdy for a CB instead of extremely lean but I guess the height was there. Still wish we landed him. Unless he keeps his weight where it’s at I could see Amare turning into a heck of a safety.

Yeah, he struck me as being physically at his cap already as far as development is concerned. Really would've like Snowden though, he is a baller...and he is putting up some wild pitching numbers too.

Snowden committed to WI. I read they have not had a baseball team since 1991 d/t budget. That’s crazy. With all that $$. I thought every BIG team played baseball.

Too cold. In addition to Wisconsin, Syracuse, Colorado and Iowa State do not have a baseball team.

Yep, warm weather sports like baseball and golf are dominated by the south. Looking at an article that's a couple years old SEC, Pac 12, ACC and B12 lead in CWS appearances and then there's a massive drop off from the B12's 80 to the B10's 29. Big West had nearly as many as the B10. In looking at Wikipedia it looks like you need to go back to the 60's with OSU to find a non Southern or West Coast team winning the title.

On a quick google I see when Michigan made the final in 2019 it was the first B10 finalist since OSU's title in the 60s.

It's why I know people want to get excited about B12 baseball but I think it's going to be nearly impossible to be competitive regularly when the season starts in winter in Cincinnati vs. a conference heavily located in the south.

The irony is that most years the North East and New England states have the most pitchers in MLB...no travel ball all year means more arms aren't shredded by their early 20's.

Keep it up!

It would be reasonable to expect a couple years to build up ohio recruiting pipelines since its not a territory he recruited at his previous schools. Hopefully he sees value in the local recruiting. Thats always my concern in hiring southern coaches, is they rarely translate to success in northern schools. Most of them seem to want to focus almost exclusively on their southern ties. A certain senator comes to mind for our program, but other examples are easily seen. On the flip side, northern coaches moving south seem to absolutely crush it, as they embrace the local recruiting as well as maintaining previous ties. I guess southerners really do think their high school football is crazy superior, which the Herbstreit classic alone proved is absolute nonsense.

CSS put my mind to ease on this when he hired so many staff members with ohio ties, specifically osu staffers. Would be no reason to do that if he wasnt interested in local recruiting. He's mentioned it multiple times in interviews too, but his actions speak louder, and thats encouraging. So i believe within a couple years of selling his staff, along with the Big12 banner and hopefully some wins, we'll see him have much more success locally.

Ohio has a pretty vare cabinet this year as far as P5 talent is concerned...not a bad year to have a transition.

He primarily recruited to his staff connections. Didn't have any in Cincinnati, thus didn't really remain in many battles...he did, however, bag a top 15 class last year prior to moving.

If UConn, BC and WVU can have Top 25 teams; there is no reason we shouldn’t be able to do it here.

Agreed. And I think fan interest would improve signficantly if UC baseball was even marginally better than what we've seen since the rare NCAA appearance a few years ago. Taking a longer view, I'm starting to wonder if the Reds' decades long futility and waning fan interest suggest Cincinnati's taste is shifting toward the NFL, MLS, and P5 football.

Why does it say that "the following media includes potentially sensitive content" in that twitter posting?
