No they're not. That Walker kid had a freak game he hasn't replicated yet or most likely ever will. He was hitting everything he threw up. He hit several shots with just a few steps across half court. I like our chances on a neutral court.

Walker dropped 36 at La Tech 3 games before that too. I agree, without his heroics that is a much closer game, but he is also the type of player capable of doing that on any given night.

I doubt he was essentially hitting multiple half court shots like he was against us.

Maybe, but it also seems like you're forgetting that Middle shot 47% from 3pt that game vs. their regular season average of 33.6%. I doubt UAB plays loose enough for that to happen unless most of the second half is a 20+ point spread

RE: Week 15 CUSA Basketball Power Rankings
Shooting 47% or higher from three is nothing unusual for us we have done that in 6 or 7 games this season. Our three point average is drug down by our horrid shooting start at the beginning of the season. We are much more likely to shoot 47% or better from three, if we meet again, than Walker is to have a freak game like he had that night.

The good news is that we may well get to find out who would win between Middle and UAB because yall are on a crash course to meet in the semis as long as the standings don't change here in these final games.

Week 15 CUSA Basketball Power Rankings
Another good job with the rankings.

And there’s a real chance CUSA is a two bid conference this year.

Right now UNT is probably an at large and UAB May be a bubble Team

Thanks!

I really hope Conference USA does get two bids.

It's been a good basketball conference for years.

Amazing how one transfer has transformed your team. He went 7/9 from 3 vs us first meeting, I am sure will be more of the same this Saturday night now that we are down to possibly only 5 guys.

I will believe it when I see it. Has an at large bid every been given to a team with 0 Quad 1 wins? Not sure UNT will even need the at large, best team I have saw this season. UNT is built for March the way they guard you. UAB more loose on some items.

UNT has to get better at shooting free throws. It's a weakness. Perry is the only good free throw shooter on the team.

UNT is now officially playing the slowest game tempo and averaging the longest offensive possession length of anyone in America. Ranked 358 out of 358 on Kenpom in both categories. A highly effective and extremely painful brand of basketball to watch.

Didn't VCU used to run that type of offense ? Maybe they still do

I enjoy watching it. I think we have played some very entertaining games this season, with amazing last second buckets.

He hit some pretty long ones that game too. My point was you said he hasn't replicated that game, when he basically did 3 games before. I don't expect MTSU to be an easy out if we play them again.

Yeah, I also enjoy it. It's fun to watch the other team suffer and get frustrated because they can't play the style they want to.

I was meaning to insinuate that it is painful to watch as an opposing team. Every game against the mean green is like a root canal and generally low scoring/slow tempo contests.

I know WKU does not match up well. Its a nightmare for our 7th year Senior and Frampton.

Okay. That makes sense. I will say for a low scoring team, the Mean Green are very active. We move the ball around a lot. And, on defense UNT covers opposing players like gloves. They expend a lot of energy over the course of a game.

Defense Travels.

Kermit's teams used to seemingly score just a point-a-minute, prior to our good run in his last 2 or 3 years (when his offense starting clicking with help from some great one-year transfers). Many times we had scored just 18-22 points by halftime.

Outside of UNT fans, I'm not sure how it's pleasing for anyone to watch haha. We waste so many possessions waiting for the shot clock to hit 7 or 8 before starting a play. And we have to lead the nation in shot clock violations by a mile.

I agree, the NT was the lowest scoring game of the year but I thoroughly enjoyed the game.
