RE: Official Game Thread: @ The Citadel
Wow,
But they have to start guarding the 3pt line.
Also, a 6 man rotation is going to wear out fast at this pace + foul trouble
Seymour 3, King 2

I think that the High School drumline makes up at least half of the total crowd.

Just tuned in. Is Weber dressed?

I forgot. I think this is the concussion protocol game.

They literally gutted that one out. Holy heck.
One thing you have to say about Oliver he sticks to his guns,
no matter what, He has a plan and by God come Hell or High
water he is sticking to that plan.

2nd game in a row, no 3's in the 2nd half, LA was worn out, King was hurting and couldn't hit.
Not sure how long this team can play this short.

I will take a win any way we can do it. Although it is too little too late for this year I will take a win. When does Weber come back?

Oliver was very candid about his 1st recruiting class.
He basically told most of them it was a 1-year deal and to see
if it works out, he took what he could get that late.

Glad to hear Oliver speak to the substitution pattern post-game. It was exactly as I expected. There is no single "concussion protocol" game that a player sits out. He can return when judged he's ok by the medical staff - and only then. He must have had his bell rung quite significantly. Did it happen in his last game? If so I didn't see it.

When the medical staff clears him. They don't have a set schedule. They give him tests and it all based on that. It could be a couple of days or weeks. each one is different.

Weber said he was day to day which indicates he has to be cleared by someone...we need him

RE: Official Game Thread: @ The Citadel
I had to go into work yesterday and couldn't even listen to the radio broadcast. Looking at the box score, it's not apparent how the Bucs won. They did outrebound and had single digit turnovers. Offensively, it didn't look good. Poor shooting percentages and very few FT attempts. Only six players played.

So how did they pull this one out, and somewhat convincingly? Ten point road conference wins just don't fall into you lap very often.

Um, we were 18/20 from the FT line compared to Citadel’s 8/13. That was probably the key. Many more steals, low turnovers, and a few more rebounds also made the difference.

Boy, I spaced it on the FTs. I really misread the box score and thought we had single digit FT attempts - senior moment, I guess. Thanks for the correction. That makes a little more sense. Shooting percentages were still not great, but I guess they were good enough.
