Anyone know about our lefty starter- type of pitcher ? I have heard more about the other 3 guys: Sales, Banks and Chenault. The latter 3 are the more traditional hardish throwing righties.

MTSU beat St John's 3-2 earlier today.

Our lineup:

Gaither is in control on the hill today. Minimizing pitch count and hitting his spots.

6 up, 6 down for Gaither. He K'd that last hitter on 3 pitches. 2 fastballs away and then it looked like a changeup for a swinging strike 3.

No score, bottom 2.

Only took 14 pitches for Gaither to get through the first 2 innings as well.

The first Seahawk run of 2022 comes across in the 2nd! After Mongero reached and got to 2nd on an error, Baucom drove an RBI double off the CF wall.

1 on, 1 out. 1-0 Hawks.

9 up, 9 down for Gaither, including 4 K's. Nice! He's locating his fastball perfectly and his breaking pitches are inducing some bad swings out of the Blue Raiders.

1-0 Seahawks, bottom 3rd. Top of the order coming up.

Baldwin steals 2nd, then advances to 3rd on a hard opposite field fly ball to the track in RF by Lifrieri.

RBI groundout by Evans makes it 2-0 Hawks. Nicely done fellas.

Very suddenly MTSU is up 4-3 heading into the 7th inning.

Fausto Lopez for the Blue Raiders has done most of the damage, with 2 HR's.
