CUSA is doing what the lawyers tell them to do. I agree with Side Show Joe on that one.

What's hilarious is Marshall has been nothing but transparent this entire process. Social media absolutely DESTROYED CUSA today to the point they turned off comments.

The only people who think this is a good move are the dozen or so people in this poll.

Oh yeah, because mobs on social media have never gotten anything wrong.

RE: Did Judy do the right thing with the schedule?
If this is the public schedules, but they've also sent the 11 schools and TV partners another schedule with just 11 schools on it then it's fine. If this is the only schedule they sent their TV partners (in a year they need to negotiate new deals) then this was idiotic, regardless of how it may help their case with the SB3.

I told the SB3 not to mess with Judy. If you mess with the bull you get the horns04-chairshot

The hilarious thing is the AAC6 acting all holy and some posters taking CUSA's side. Once the Big 12 and AAC finalize their respective teams leaving early.....like adults do......if AAC gave the AAC6 and option to leave early.....they would do the exact same thing as the SB3.

To be fair, this isn't Judy. This is the Board of Directors, aka, university presidents.

What they didn’t make public are the schedules that went to each school without Marshall, ODU, and USM.

What you left out is a hundred or so fans from the 3 schools moving to the SBC or other SBC fans "DESTROYED CUSA today". Now I dont really pay any attention to social media (twitter/facebook) so if its more than 100...correct me and in doing so back up your work by a list of those " DESTROYED CUSA today"

Anyone that bases the reaction of what people on twitter have to say...

is foolish

Cusa made 2 posts. Schedule release allowed comments and still does. Statement on holding all teams to the bylaws never had comments allowed

So no they didn't turn off comments after the sb3 decided to all throw a fit

We'd want to leave early I agree if the shot was there. We however would let it play out. You can't find a trio of fanbases who would be complaining as much as the sb3. Those fanbases have been complaining on here for many years. This is just the latest b fest

Trashing other programs was a constant too. Can't blame those of us doing it back

Show us one of those schedules and not from someone on a Marshall board or Twitter. Do it from a official release from any remaining CUSA school.

Other wise its made up bullcrap. From a Western Asst coach that I talked to, Western didnt get that memo. Now he could be wrong but this asst coach has never seen a "made up" CUSA schedule without the 3 CUS/SBC schools

You're better than most but the 3 leaving to go to the sun belt definitely fit that the most. As I said I'd have taken Marshall to the AAC if I could

But I won't miss any of you 3 on these boards. I'm sure some will show up like the other insecure sun belt dudes do on all the boards though

Gotta try to convince people how awesome the belt is on other conference boards !

RE: Did Judy do the right thing with the schedule?
...well, I voted a shaky 'yes' in terms of CUSA's options at this juncture...

...bottom line is, if they let the SBC3 go WITHOUT significant resistance, then they run the risk of getting the same declarations of 'early withdrawal' from at least a few of the 'AAC6' programs immediately thereafter, thus compounding their losses...

...add to the fact that it is rumored that WKU and perhaps MTSU (maybe?) are still looking for a new conference (perhaps the Belt is amenable to make it a sweet 16 (yeah, I know there were messy issues with these parties before, but I guess they could figure it out))... if THAT happens, it will be tough to keep CUSA afloat, even with some decent FCS call-ups coming in...

...SO, after stepping back and reviewing this saga, this move may have been the ONLY move CUSA could make that made sense for them to keep some semblance of holding it together for another few seasons until another few call-ups could be brought in to get to 10 or so and 'properly transition'... ...now, it will probably come at the expense of losing future SBC matchups, but hopefully not...
