Lakers have a brutal schedule but they do have a 3 game lead over the Spurs/Blazers. 538 has them finishing 9th.
Lakers Schedule:
3/21 - @Cleveland
3/23 - Philadelpia
3/27 - @New Orleans
3/29 - @Dallas
3/31 - @Utah
4/4 - New Orleans
4/3 - Denver
4/5 - @Phoenix
4/7 - @Golden State
4/8 - Oklahoma City
4/10 - @Denver

RE: Grizzlies Remaining Schedule
Playoff standings:
1. Phoenix
2. Grizzlies: 9 games back
3. Warriors: 10-1/2 games back
4. Jazz: 12-1/2 games back
5. Mavs: 14-1/2 games back
6/7 (tie) TWolves: 16 games back
6/7 (tie) Nuggets: 16 games back
8. Clippers: 22-1/2 games back
9/10. (tie) Pelicans: 27-1/2 games back
9/10. (tie) Lakers: 27-1/2 games back
11 Spurs: 30 games back
12. Blazers: 31 games back
Grizz with a 1-1/2 game lead over the Warriors. Minnesota is 9-1 in their last 10 games so are tied for 6th with the Nuggets. Spurs could gain some ground on the Lakers/Pelicans. They play Portland 3 times, Houston once and New Orleans once, They also play us, @Denver, @Minnesota, @Dallas and Golden State. Even if they go 5-5 over that stretch the Lakers/Pelicans would have to go 2-8 for them to overtake them.

How is it we haven't clinched a playoff spot yet? I'm ready to see that "x" beside our name! What's the magic number?

A win tonight and a Warriors lost would put a strangle hold on the 2 spot. We lock it up with 2 or 3 games left to play. then we could rest

WHAT A WIN!
Durant and Irving were out of their MINDS and OUR TEAM, without its SUPERSTAR ... pulled it out.
Man oh man, I love this squad.

Fun basketball as long as you don't watch the 3rd quarter.

Brooks as well. Melton killed it in the first half. Clarke and Tyus steady as usual.

Grizzlies Remaining Schedule
Two 130+ games in 2 nights. This one with a very shorthanded Grizzlies.

We stretched out the lead in the first half when Irving and Durant were resting. They chipped away in the third, but really made their run to the lead when we rested our starters while Irving and Durant stayed in and didn’t have to worry about Brooks or JJJ defensively. We stretched out the lead again when rotated back in our starters (minus Adams plus Clarke). Irving and Durant were washed from playing practically the entire second half and Clarke and JJJs defense especially was too much.

RE: Grizzlies Remaining Schedule
Updated 3/25:
Current Record: 51-23
538 Projection: 56-26/56-26
538 has us going 5-3/5-3 in our remaining 8 games.
Remaining games: (5 home / 3 away)
Milwaukee - 3/26
Golden State -3/28 (NBA TV)
@San Antonio -3/30
Phoenix - 4/1 (NBA TV)
@Utah - 4/5
@Denver - 4/7
New Orleans - 4/9 (NBA TV)
Boston - 4/10 (home back to back)
Projected order of finish on 538:
1. Suns
2. Grizzlies
3. Warriors
4. Jazz
5. Mavs
6. Nuggets
7. TWolves
8. Clippers
9. Pellicans
10. Lakers
So the Lakers would play the Pellicans in New Orleans for the 9/10 spot.
The Twolves and Clippers play for the 7/8 spot.
Loser of the 9/10 is out.
Winner of the 9/10 plays the 7/8 loser for the 8 spot.
So the Twolves who are projected to finish 12 games over .500 could be eliminated by a team that is 14 games under .500 in a single game playoff. Kind of silly if you ask me.

RE: Grizzlies Remaining Schedule
Interesting scenario in the East playoff picture.
NY is now allowing Kyrie to play at home. Currently the Nets are in 8th place. Tied for 7th is Cleveland and Toronto. If Toronto finishes 7th and the Nets finish 8th they will play in Toronto which won't allow Kyrie to play.
