Yeah, a disappointing start to the baseball season for the AAC for the most part. While I'm not at all happy with the way WSU has failed to respond to their tough 12 game road schedule, and am drinking half shots of koolaid at this point, I'm still betting that the Shockers will ultimately improve as a result of their trail. I expected them to lose a few more than they won of these first 12 games but not to go 0 & 6.
Hope the rest of the conference also starts to pick it up soon!

USF wins second game vs Stony Brook and moves to 3-2

The 0-6 Shockers played 4-1 Pepperdine today in Texas and came away with their first win of the season 5-2.

USF gets the sweep over Stony Brook 17-2. Moves to 4-2

I am watching the ECU pirates beat the UNC Tarheels 4-0 on espn+. It is going to the top of the 8th. Looks kind of cold there as I can see the players breath.

Also the Shockers picked up their second win of the season today, beating the Iowa Hawkeyes 8-7 in Texas today. The Shocks are now 2-6 on the season. All of the games have been away from Wichita.

Pirates add a home run in the bottom of the 8th to lead 5-0 going into the ninth.

UNC loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth, but failed to score. Pirates win 5-0. This was the Tar Heels first loss of the season dropping them to 6-1.

Yeah, it was cold, mid 40s and damp from earlier storm that came through and ended around game time.

My hands and feet were killing me, especially shooting the game-'should have done wool socks and gloves lol. I had planned to leave at 9 but it got to interesting to leave early and and miss shots of post game celebration.

Pirates stomp Duke tonight in Durham, we might have had our get right game and that should aid us going into the KLC with Indiana State, Michigan, and Maryland.

USF beats FIU 7-0, fourth straight win to go to 5-2

Tulane ended up winning our series against Louisiana Tech with two 4-1 wins on Sunday. Then beat Southeastern 23-1 tonight. At 7-1 now with a home series against Mississippi State this weekend.

It’s better than average but attendance for college baseball in this part of the country is nothing like you guys get down south. Two factors drove attendance tonight, nice weather and the MLB strike (Reds we’re already fed up with team ownership and the strike may have been the last straw).

Well February and March games aren't always warm here but NCSU and UNC games vs ECU at their place or ours are usually very packed, however, the ones with Duke at the DBAP (i've only seen us play once at their on-campus stadium) are very lacking unless its at ECU and then its mostly ECU fans. UNCW, Charlotte, and Campbell can also draw well for crowds at both venues.
