UNT (34-14) will be playing for the C-USA Tournament Title tomorrow at 12pm on CBS Sports. It would be nice if we are the reigning C-USA Champs when we move to the AAC.
UNT is hosting the C-USA softball tournament this year, so you will be able to see our facilities during the broadcast. In the off-season, UNT will be building new dugouts and grandstands.
1) Wow…mercy rule and a shutout. I mean, we all knew who would win but what an exclamation point.
2) Aresco, you are the worst. This tourney should have been in Orlando. Talk about boneheaded decisions made out of spite. UCF would have sold out and usf would have likely traveled decently. The weather was just added karma. Who doesnt like to make revenue? Aresco doesnt like to make revenue.
3) A lot of “if our good pitcher had played…” coming out of Temple Terrace on the interweb today. Im not sure what our overall winning record is against the fine lady but its 2-0 this year. She also wouldnt have helped prevent a shutout. Its a team sport. Remember that when making ridiculous predictions for your football team because of
one QB transfer.
4) I assume softball was included when the usf AD inexplicitly gave contract extensions to every coach like he was Oprah. Coach clearly has some accolades but 0 championships in the American. The only thing worse than a bad coach is a coach that does enough to not get fired but cant bring home the hardware.
5) Our fans are stupid on twitter. That said, your social team for some reason welcomes it early in the season and then regrets it later. There’s a reason social media jobs are real jobs and not just “other duties as assigned” for an intern. Catch up. Or Don’t. Doesnt really matter to me.
6) Wichita - wish we had played today. Good luck in the postseason and in years to come. Great program - softball, volleyball etc. Fun to compete with you guys through 22/23.

Sure it doesn’t matter to you, your post says it all.
UCF Regional
Villanova @ #16 UCF
Michigan @ South Dakota State

Oregon @ Wichita State
Princeton @ Arkansas
Florida State Regional
Mississippi State @ South Florida
Howard @ Florida State
Future AAC
Oklahoma State Regional UNT @ Nebraska
Fordham @ #7 Oklahoma State
Charlotte finished with a descent 35-23 record, but with impressive wins over P5 programs and multiple "At-Large" programs (South Carolina, At-Large Wichita St., At-Large Minnesota, At-Large Villanova, Maryland, North Carolina, and a 3 game sweep of #3 Virginia Tech). Seems like Charlotte got stiffed.
I think the future of AAC softball will remain strong.

UCF and Michigan in the 11th inning in this game. UCF's pitcher is at 181 pitches for the game .. pitching all 11 innings .. all in 100+ temps. That's impressive.
