The Dukes 11-10 are reeling and the best way to get better is play a terrible 4-20 W&M team. Coach Fischer has to be on the hot seat because they are much worse in year 3 than year 2 and they were much worse in year 2 than year 1. Former AD Huge Samantha has left a trail of disaster in her wake.

JMU presses full court all game and gets boatloads of turnovers and easy fast break points. They turned over the Tribe a ridiculous 25 times in game 1. I knew W&M was a bad ball handling team, but didn’t realize how bad. The Nerds give up more steals than any team in the country.

If Chuck plays it should be a more comfortable margin

If yesterday's practice was merely a walk through and everyone was comfortably wearing bubble wrap then maybe there won't be more additions to the injury list today. JMU had to go to overtime even with guards playing who could score in the last one and William and Mary shot 44% from 3. Another loss: Waste Management 71 and Dukes 63.

W&M is the 14th youngest team in playing time for Division I so both our AD and President will be giving Coach breathing room.

Since our epic collapse at home on 1/15 to JMU giving up a 23 point lead, neither team has done well with JMU going 2-8 and the Tribe 2-7. Beating line have Purple a 10.5 favorite.

Probably last game the Green and Gold will play at JMU for MBB unless JMU agrees to a home and away series in the future.

W&M should be motivated to win as a loss makes the dreaded CAA tournament play in game very likely.

Isn’t it your coach’s fault that he has such a young team in his 3rd year?

Turnovers, reverting to chuck it 3s and over thinking it and going back to the failed man defense has let Waste Management cut the lead to 13 points. Over 7 minutes so plenty of time left.

Dukes win in easy fashion 69-55. The only disappointing thing today was no free nuggets. It felt like coach let off the gas and didn’t want to humiliate the nerds after turning them over 13 times in the first half and putting up half a Hundo.

It's been a strange year. 7-0 vs. Virginia teams including UVA, George Mason and ODU but 6-10 vs teams outside of VA.

I think the injuries and being banned from the conference tournament has made a significant impact in the record this season. The coaching staff has been able to adapt and the team plays hard. Hopefully more of an inside presence and the move to the Sunbelt will bring JMU basketball back to where they compete for the conference title every year.
