Well considering 9 schools screwed CUSA I'm not surprised by this outcome. Judy probably wish all of the schools leaving CUSA could be gone by tomorrow. Same with said schools leaving.

9 schools didn't screw CUSA, 9 schools were let down by CUSA and left

No, it was a combination of schools not living up to their potential and having sorry leadership. The screwing went hand in hand.
“The conference’s unwillingness to discuss the concept of separation this year creates confusion and doubt for all concerned,” Southern Miss' statement read. “The remaining members of Conference USA deserve certainty about their schedules as they plan for competition next year. For their sake, (Southern Miss) makes public its intent.”

Pretty sure I said a combination of schools not living up to their potential and sorry leadership. The failure of CUSA was a group effort and not one single entity.
C-USA sent the FINAL 2022 football schedules to all schools today (for release to the public next Monday). Those schedules include Marshall, Old Dominion and Southern Miss.

CUSA & its Sun Belt-bound three departing schools - Marshall, Southern Miss, ODU - are in a serious fight.
As the three schools announced their June departure, CUSA sent its *final* 2022 football schedule to members - with the three included on the schedules, sources tell

Just legal posturing. I think it has been known those 3 would leave for months and all this schedule stuff is just to set up the legal fight over total money owed

...well, if this DOES go down, at 9 members, won't there just be a 'full round robin' with 8 teams, 4 home, 4 away? I hate losing USM, tho...
...on the other hand, we can tromp on those 5 who will remain in '23 one last time...
EDIT: whoa, math is bad on Friday Afternoon - 11 teams left... well you would THINK they can figure it out... I guess divisions will be sacked, and somehow everybody gets 8 games 4/4... but out of 11... hold up, lemme break the slide rule out, y'all... dang...
...actually, they may drag Liberty in for '22 - we are on their schedule anyway, so... maybe even if they DON"T join in '22, we can count it as one... but as an away game, not sure how we can get 4 home... I better stop lest I hurt myself...

It is expected, barring more changes, that cusa will eliminate divisions and just play 8 conference games.
...yep... CUSA math is difficult at times...
I guess they will HAVE to keep it at 8 conference games, as everyone left has four OOC games slated... with that, I assume there will be a 4/4 for everyone, unless Judy wants to be extra snarky and give 5-6 home conference games each to 'those that will remain'... at this point I wouldn't be surprised by ANYthing...
