Not exactly. This is the first olympics since 2010 not on the large ice. I think it was meant to be small this year as that’s what the NHL agreed to before they dropped out late .

The only 2 Olympic size rinks I am aware of are St. Cloud and Northern Michigan. Are there any others in D-I hockey?

Good 2 points last night.....8 out of 9 so far from SC. Let's make it 11 of 12!

I thought the D was a little sloppy at times and gave them too many chances. I think we are clearly the better team so I attribute it to travel (third week in a row on the road), losing Glover in the first period, and adjusting to the big sheet.

Another great game from Polin - still can't believe his tying goal! He was very close to a second hattrick. Frank is deadly on breakaways and penalty shots.

If we play our game and don't take unnecessary penalties we'll come home with 5 points. Although our destiny is in our own hands (with 4 games vs Denver and NoDak) it would be nice to get a little help.

Alaska, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Northern Michigan, St. Cloud and Wisconsin.

I find it laughable that the IOC doesn't even use the Olympic ice sheet in a brand new rink. What's the point?

Mass is 200x95. If Mass is Olympic sheet, than Notre Dame is too.

At this point it's costs to retrofit. "Olympic" ice is slowly going away everywhere in favor of the smaller rink where you can fit more seats in the same building, but most colleges aren't able to throw the money in just to make their rink smaller when it's not a part of a much more drastic remodel.
