Former University of Northern Colorado offensive tackle Grant Stephens (6-4, 295) announced via Twitter yesterday he received a scholarship offer from Central Michigan.

Stephens, a redshirt senior with one year of immediate eligibility, entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Feb. 4.

In addition to the Chippewas, Stephens reports offers from Purdue, California, Arizona, Boston College, Washington State, Akron, Buffalo, Miami, Bowling Green, Ohio, Western Michigan, Colorado State, Fresno State, Rice, Tulsa, North Texas, UConn, Old Dominion, Marshall, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Arkansas State and Florida International.

Stephens prepped at Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point High School, the same school that standout quarterback and class of 2022 CMU signee Bert Emanuel Jr. attends.

True. But CMU is going to put 2 OT in the NFL with this upcoming draft. If his goal was to get to the NFL, he had an opportunity with the possible opportunities at CMU too. (Not saying he'd beat out our backup OT that played in the Sun bowl when our NFL bound OT sat out for the draft though).
