Would CUSA bring in Liberty to the East a year early to make it 6 east and 6 west?

You could just pick up one of the teams Liberty has to let go of to have room for their new conference schedule.

Could the release of the schedule today have been a way to force the hand of the departing 3? I'm not a lawyer, but it would appear the entity that blinks first could say they(the d3) departed the league(as what happened) or were terminated from the league(if CUSA had released a schedule that did not include the d3).

Cusa was going to release schedule today
The others then prementively announced their intentions

Now the lawyers figure out the money.

The 3 in question are gone. The sun belt was already preparing the schedule with them included.
