Was that the year they hid up in the upper student section? If so, that stuff is great. Good solid fun thst only added to the atmosphere. Joe Dunn and Tom talked about that stunt all the time.

Whatever ZF all that was yesterday….fans and teams, that’s the tic toc, espn, look at me, transfer portal. Culture BS all rolled into one. Not a fan of the ending last night.

But a big fan of toughness on the road. That was cool. Well prepared, well played and well deserved.

The thing that gets me when it comes to the zips is how many don't know what the name of their school is. The amount of students that think they go to Akron University is comical.

A technical foul could have been called because of fan behavior. You don't see that called much, though.

If we see Akron again this year the refs will keep the muzzle on both teams and their fans. It could be ruthless. Let's hope not though.

Hamin Quintance went BALLISTIC in that game. I stopped watching late in the game and just started laughing. I made sure to thank everyone wearing those shirts when they left for lighting our fuse.

Just wondering, how do they get people out to their games? I mean, they are "trashy a-holes" as quoted on their message board. However, what is North Hill Community College doing to attract students to go to their games that we are not doing? they even traveled better?
I'm not asking for another complain session about our department or program, but looking to see what their success is for getting students to come out. Their team this year is not better than ours, they've had the similar rebuilding issues this year, transfer portal issues, same mask mandate. What gives?

Getting a top 3 seed is really important this year. The top 5 very likely will be UT, OU, UB, UA, and us in some order. All very solid teams capable of winning the tourney. 6 on down are all below .500 in conference. We're currently tied in the loss column with UB and UA for 3rd. As hot as we've been, we still have an uphill battle to get a top 3 seed. It seems we have one of the more difficult MAC schedules. We play UB, UA, UT, and OU all twice. Akron on the other hand only plays UB and UT once. UB only plays OU and UA once. Those two early season losses really put us in a bad spot. If we get a top 3 seed we really earned it.

Great review , I for one do not trust the MAC scheduling people to be fair to KSU and these unbalanced schedules never seem to be in our favor.
You are correct we have a gauntlet to run , and our early season woes could really bite us. All we can do is go forward.

One of their fans yelled at me and my 15 year old for wearing KSU gear. I shouted back "dont worry get your grades up and you can transfer in" . He was speechless and his friends killed him

The MACC will be a priority for renovations on campus. The new Business Building is first but our beloved gym will see an upgrade.

Hope you are correct. I was told state will only fund repairs and maintenance to existing buildings. No renovations unless the building includes classrooms or laboratory space. Funding must come from private sources. HVAC , roofing , etc included but that’s it.
Given KSU fundraising foibles they better hope one of us wins powerball.

Just watched the last half of NIU at the jar. In case there was any doubt, Groce is easily the most overrated coach in the conference. That team is a mess. Crunch time tonight: no situational awareness, stand around offense, dribble, dribble, bad shot, foul at the wrong time. The players look like they’ve lost interest.

Looks like the Flashes ripped their heart out last Friday. Three losses in a row. KSU, WMU, NIU. Two of those at home. Oops.
