Former MT Player named Jags DC
Mike Caldwell, member of the MT Hall of Fame, will be the new Defensive Co-Ordinator in Jacksonville. This guy has really paid his dues as a college & NFL player (and assistant coach looking thru my Blue colored glasses). Caldwell should have been named a Head Coach years ago. Don't think Middle has ever had a coach named as a Co-Ordinator in the NFL before. As an alum who saw this guy perform; I am very happy for him.
Just wondering, have any of our other CUSA member schools ever had any former players who ultimately served as Co-Ordinators, or Head Coaches, in the NFL?

Larry Izzo is a former Rice LB. He has served as the special teams coordinator for a number of NFL teams (Seahawks right now).

Izzo was a great ball player as well. And your boy Izzo played in the NFL for 14 years. Caldwell only played for 11.
