So help me understand. $600 for 6 home games (AKA $100 a ticket)?

Yes, basically. $100 per seat per game, but there is also an $800 per seat per season minimum donation, plus $300 for parking.

so are you saying box seats will open up this year

i have been sitting 65 row up for 30 years but now
my wife is saying she cant make it up the ramp anymore

i like the view way up, you can really see the plays develop

I have had season tickets in both and I can tell that it is way more fun on row 65. It's a party up there.

I have had tickets in many locations since I started attending games as a student. One thing that I don't remember is ever not enjoying the game due to the seats.

The indoor seats have the advantage of protection from the weather, but not hearing the fan noise and on the field play really puts a damper on everything. It's much more subdued than being out in the thick of things. I really think I'm going to enjoy coming back outdoors...

Yeah… put a Big12 sticker on our helmets and I’ll pony up. Not so for Conference USA 3.0

Hard to push ticket prices higher when there are always seats somewhere available and your home schedule has the appeal of yesterdays pizza . Instead of such a big pop they should have went with the "Let's Boil Them Like Lobsters" strategy that gradually turns the heat up slowly. Seems Reasonable.

Anyway, I just moved to outdoor tickets on the visitor's side. Gotta make it look good for TV, right?

I look at my tickets & donation as just that, my primary donation back to the school. I know the higher prices are tough, but it helps me personally knowing so much of it’s going back to the school. Just food for thought, I know not every one will agree.

Here’s to having an OCS soon (where the supply & demand might actually factor into pricing decisions)!

It was the stickers season before last that decided my continued participation as a season ticket holder.

It's unfortunate they had to raise the prices when Arkansas State and North Texas has a combined 8-17 record coming into the Liberty Bowl (I can careless about North Alabama).
I'll be much better off just grabbing a ticket off the street or out of the ticket booth. I'll still continue to support the team. But raising ticket prices for a team that is going to project to win 7.5 games is absurd to me.
I agree with sitting higher does increase the view of the field.

It's not about our home schedule and who we play that is causing ticket prices to increase!!!

Have your groceries gone up, gas gone up etc etc.... Guess what the University's cost has gone up!!

This is what you call inflation. Get use to it.

RE: Football Ticket Sticker Shock
Everyone has to decide what the value of the game is to them. What are spending priorities? How important is it to you to support the university for both academics and athletics?

Parking has no role in how I spend my money. The walk is good for me and gives my crew time to process expectations on the way to the stadium.

I can afford lower seats but I’m not willing to pay extra and frankly my $325 seats midfield are a great viewpoint. My seats went up $25 per seat last year. I get it.

My FB donation is a required $50 per seat but I give more. My choice to support the program.
I sit upstairs on Row C for BB. I could afford Clubs which are my favorite seats but I would have to adjust my giving in other areas since I will soon be retiring this year. Not willing to do that.

Athletic tickets here have always been cheap. Cheap has a high price and limits the direction of the program. You can’t ask for excellence and pay at bargain basement rates. Watching on tv is convenient. I’ve not reached the point where that is my preferred viewing spot but it may happen someday. Buying tickets on the street doesn’t help the university but does help the seller. That’s also an individual choice. I choose to give my unused tickets away. I love finding young families bring their kids to games who appreciate just being there.

If the university is important to you they need help paying for new buildings, matching gifts so research can continue to grow as an R1 university, create community partnerships, establish art centers, give young students a chance to grow. It’s all an investment in the city and to me it’s worth it.

RE: Football Ticket Sticker Shock
Actually I think many season ticket holders who are TSF donors will simply reduce their TSF donation to cover the increase in ticket prices. Net result is no more revenue. This approach is a non-starter, especially given the awful home schedule we have this year. I just don't understand the logic. If the economy is dictating this increase, just say so & appeal to TSF for increased donations. BUT AT THE SAME TIME ELEVATE THE HOME SCHEDULE & give the avg fan motivation to spend more on tickets.

Yeah, I did it for 25 years when I was young and had more $$ than brains.
For that kind of money I can buy a real tangible asset every year that will last for many more years, and not be just a friggin memory after 3 hours of my life.

Don't miss understand...I've been a Tiger fan since my daddy held my hand walking into Crump Stadium in 1963, so I paid my dues and bought my share of season tickets outta my own pocket. It's just I'm not that stupid anymore...

Some of us like to support the school in hopes of always bettering it and I for one think there is nothing like being at the game, tailgating with family and friends and enjoying the action live and not just sitting on my couch worried about just being comfortable...but to each his own
