After coming of a nice win against the Elon Phoenix he Dukes travel up to Williamsburg to take on the Tribe today at 2:00 PM at Kaplan Arena. Game will be broadcast on FLO as usual. With the win on Friday the Dukes evened their record at 10-10 and are 6-3 in "conference". The Tribe is 6-13 overall and 1-7 in "conference" after losing to Towson on Friday.

Wife and I will be heading out in a bit to head to Kaplan Arena. Hope to see some Purple and Gold there today!!

Ouch- just tuned in. Down 29-13 w/ 8 minutes left in 2nd quarter.

Closed to 33-25 at half. Solid D forced a few turnovers to halve the deficit.

Listening to the game (other than the five minutes or so when WSVA dropped the feed). Some observations...

1. Jaylin has come to play once again. She scored the first four or five of JMU's points and has 10 points and four rebounds at the half. Kiki is playing a solid game - 10 points and three rebounds.

2. Maddie is chucking up threes with no results....hope Coach can settle her down during halftime.

3. Assists are lacking again today. Reminder to the team - this is not a one-woman sport.

4. W&M is shooting their brains out right now. Hopefully they get back to their normal shooting percentage during the second half and we play the way we all know we can play.

Jaylin has 14/6 and Kiki has 20/5.

My Flo subscription ran out and I'm not paying any more. Having to watch the statbroadcast and it's messed up. This is ridiculous. Looks like Jaylin is giving them hell on all fronts and the Frisby-Smith person for W&M is playing dirty again.

Dukes win 64-58!! Nice weekend sweep. Kiki leads the way with 30 points. Dukes come home for two games Friday and Sunday.

Dukes win 64-58. Close game for the last 1.5 quarters. Great job coming back from 18 down. Wasn't pretty, but it's a road conference win. Kiki w/ 32 points/7 rebounds, Carodine with 14/6. Shot fairly well overall at 49%, but only 21% from three point land. 6 assists for the game. On to the next one.

Looks like W&M's 22 fouls didn't help them any. I thought they were pretty dirty when they played up here, especially that Frisby-Smith person.

Wife and I just got home from the game. An interesting game to say the least, the tale of 1 1/2 vs 2 1/2 quarters. W&M was shooting the lights out for the first 15 minutes or so and the Dukes found themselves in a 31-13 hole. Managed to claw back to within 8 at the half and then they put the screws to the Tribe in the second half. Good shooting, tough D, rebounding and a bunch of steals got the Dukes the win. At the point where the Dukes were down by 18 in the 2nd quarter from that point on they outscored the tribe 51-25. Only allowed them 23 points total in the second half. Monster games by Kiki and Jailyn. The last 4 or so games Jailyn has really been percolating shooting and on the boards in addition to her usual tough D. The game was close all through the second half but the Dukes pulled out a nice win to go 11-10 on the season overall and 7-3 in "conference"

Tough game against Towson next Sunday.

Tough game, but any road win at this point of the season is good. The team is now over .500 for the season, and remains on track to post 17-18 wins. Gotta keep it going!
